Very helpful to see these. I most resemble the "just trying to keep it in the air" video. Some recent help I've received from my KiteLife masters is to slow down a bit. Now I can see it in the videos where before I did not. Also I can now watch a kite video seeing the inputs by the flier & how the kite responds. Thanks so much. Your fans are watching. Sylvester is very cool with Rob on the lines.

Just a little reflection from the Dark Side of the Highlands of Virginia on this Christmas afternoon. Somehow I feel a great kinship with my Kitelife friends of Australia. It may be through my Irish surname somehow. When I read the posts, watch the videos & chat a bit, I know I would be right at home flying side by side.

New Video to Add.....

A little Urban Trek for me.

The winds were really strange, With the trees, Traffic and Building. I kept getting pushed around and spent most of the time trying to keep control.

Well let me know what you think:

My only thought is to use a moment of caution when picking a flying spot. i think you might be liable for a traffic accident, since you're so close to the road. Tough to explain in court (or to an insurance company!) that the reason a driver had crashed "could be interrupted as YOUR fault". With that said, I admire the challenge you have taken-on by flying in such a a restricted airspace with turbulence to boot, on short lines.

Indeed Paul the distraction problem did cross my mind. I commented on such concerns in the roadside flying thread.

This spot is fairly hidden from the road by those trees.

Given that every park I can fly at is bordered by roads, I don't see it ever being risk free. In a world where people sue each other over the stupidest things my only risk free choice is to stay home. So I choose to take the chance and have a fly
