Talonnz
Hey all Was out flying today and realized that my left line is about 4/5cms longer the right. I was wondering was the best way to go about fixing this? I did a seach but having trouble finding easy information. Thanks Nick
Hadge
Here you go. http://kitelife.com/forum/videos/view-38-rev-tutorial-line-equalizing/ This is for 4 line kites but the method is exactly the same for duals, it's an easy job.
Talonnz
Hey thanks for that. Just had a look through that and went to do it but found there are no knots on the lines, they are sewed. I have a peter lynn impulse 2.0, 2 line, on a bar if that helps. Sorry for being a pain. I can put pics if need be. Nick
oapbillf
Hi Nick, Tie an overhand knot along the stitched length of the longest line and remeasure, with luck that should reduce the split to a minimum ! With lightweight sleeved lines such as used on Revs a single overhand knot reduces the length by about 1 cm. Try it, if it does not work simply untie ! I'd unpick the stitching and just adjust and knot them.
makatakam
Or you can try stretching the shorter line. Take a can of pop with the soda still in it and wrap the shorter line around the can tightly. Leave it like that for a week. Unwrap and check.
