Dave362 Posted June 5, 2015 Report Posted June 5, 2015 I spent this last week at Ocean Shores flying kites.I managed to shoot some footage of my GPS standard in light winds. I hope you like it! click View on Vimeo for HD qualityhttp://vimeo.com/129936753 2 Quote
Skyclad01 Posted June 6, 2015 Report Posted June 6, 2015 Very nice looking kite. I'm sure it flies as good as it looks (possibly even better). 1 Quote
RobB Posted June 6, 2015 Report Posted June 6, 2015 Nice mellow day at the beach.... I liked seeing that DDC peeking in the frame. Glad to see that you resisted the urge to dead-launch at the end, that's too nice a kite to drag through the sand ! Also liked your fractured backspin to flic flac move. You gave me some ideas for the next time out... 2 Quote
Dave362 Posted June 6, 2015 Author Report Posted June 6, 2015 Thanks for the kind words, guys. Rob, that move is actually one from Andy Wardley's videos. He called it the duplex. Randy and possibly Martin did tutorials on it a few years back. Took me awhile to get the pull to flic flac consistent. sooo much to learn..... Quote
RobB Posted June 6, 2015 Report Posted June 6, 2015 It should be easy to modify that move to a 540 instead of a FlicFlac.... How awesome would that look ? If one wing Flics higher than the other, tug the high wing and slack the low wing. Once the 540 completes, just sit there and hover in a stall. Like, yeah, I meant to do that.... and fly away ! 2 Quote
Palmahnic Posted June 6, 2015 Report Posted June 6, 2015 Really nice combos, Dave! Thank you kindly, Iftah. 1 Quote
Dave362 Posted June 7, 2015 Author Report Posted June 7, 2015 Thanks Iftah, I appreciate you kind words Rob, So you mean BS one direction then flic and flat spin after that, right? Yeah, I think that would look awesome! Quote
