  1. If there is anyone who wants a kite and cant build it on their own I will build it for you. I will just charge for materials used. I just want the scraps left after each project. cost will be cost per yard of fabric per color, cost of printing the plan and making a template if needed, spars and other materials/hardware/notions(tape, webbing, etc.) used, plus the shipping cost the materials. If you cant pick up the kite, there will also be a charge for shipping it to you. the only kites I wont make are soft kites, i.e. foils and display kites. If anyone wants to see my previous work I can post pictures. Edit on 4/30 I can also do applique and reverse applique work for an additional cost. The cost will be based on the size and complexity of the design you want as well as materials. if it is something small i might have some scrap materials i can use but it is not a guarantee as I do not have whole lot of color options with the scraps i currently have.

  2. Hey, I'm somewhat new to the hardcore kite scene and recently picked up a few stunt kites. Looking for a great place along the Rockies (I live in Northern Utah) and would love to meet up with other flyers!

  3. I’ll throw out another option. A 3 wind from the Kite Shoppe goes for around 200. Talk with Theresa, I’m sure see will give you a good deal with handles and lines. And the 3 wind handles are 13” or 14” they are adjustable to your preference or wind conditions.

  4. FWIW, The Reflex RX starts on Rev's site for $380 The Djinn from Kite Forge starts at $375 The Vertigo at OSK is $199.98 The Exodus at OSK runs $229.98 I own or have owned at least one of all of these. (Reflex Tarantella and Reflex XX ) have both been sold now. The Djinn, Vertigo Stack and Exodus all sit in my bag to fly. My personal opinion is I don't care for the springs on the Rev and QC on the Freileins is top notch. The Djinn is the most advanced quad out there and has the improvements that don't come stock on any other sail. Please get the sail that makes you happy. Bottom line, There's a reason there are so many Revs for sale and you barely see the others on the secondary market.

  5. Based on some recent conversations in chat (Yes, KiteLife still has an active chat!!!) I decided to show some of the advantages of the White Leading Edge. First advantage is it is very visible against the dark grass when doing very low inverted flying. It also allows you to easily see what frame you have in the kite, Next it makes it easy to see your spar alignment on setup and separation on breakdown when you are folding your kite. The biggest disadvantage is white shows dirt and grass stains. This isn't meant to be everything but should give some insight into the thoughts I go through when choosing LE Color.

  6. well since I am new here.. let's see if I can post images: not sure how they post here.. but you can see how I made the connectors from 3/32ID micro fuel line and zipties using 12"bamboo skewers. The first version is a 4 cell using garbage bag plastic as the sails. I was hoping to go to a 16 cell open version.. but I didn't have enough skewers..an all the rest I found was 10". so I made a 10 cell Dense Tetrakite. I looked for sail items.. then hit upon using giftwrap ..which is often mylar.. and went that route. Earlier this week I brought it out but the wind was too strong and snap a few spars.. some redo's and voila.. all fixed and it flew today! and the side images are from my wife Susan.. all this from a fishing reel and short rod.
