Thanks for sharing it and made me smiles I am getting Rev 1 because power kite should be parafoil which is safer than flat kite like the blast 2-4

I have used this reflector stick before and yes, it is heavier and strong, too ... it was a test and it works great, but not recommending ... I used this stick for my vertical rods in a higher wind to slow down the rapid movement and also ... I kept checking on sticks to make sure there is no threading or splinter that may cut the rip-stop material ... I won't using this reflector sticks very long and use it as my backup vertical rods until new rods delivered. ... I have 4 revolution vertical rods left ... ... Since I broke my endcap and bought some arrow's end tip attachment, until endcaps delivered.

oh ... ok .. 1st and 4th photos look great, but still wanted to see all 4 as a larger image ... very nice colors on the stacked kite ... I thought that I was having a 3D vision ... it's either kite moving too fast (slightly blurred) or the image quality is heavily compressed, beside that ... still looks great !

A list of (individual) "trick" name : "name" of movement/path
DeafThunder replied to DeafThunder's topic in Quad Heads
(laughing) ...Sorry that I sure did found them, read them and read them again... in about a week or 2 ... I will read those again, until I get sick of reading it I did tested the 1 foot deep of water (kinda like a pond, but not really a pond-pond) with my kite ... you are ABSOLUTELY right ... it is like 10x heavier and 10x slower ... all I was trying to gentle trailing across the pond very lightly ... SPLASHED !!! ... touching water makes my kite acting like a strong magnet attracting to steel. You picked the first 3 as my favorite articles ... and the last one "Around the Bend" hurts my brain badly ... LOL ... I tried once with stake with 3" a ring ... I almost killed my kite but saved by THUMB DOWN (dive stop before hit the ground)... forget the dogstake ... just for now until I get much, MUCH better than ever Wind Window is no problem ... I flew my 3m oZone at 24mph at danger zone (dead center) hovering just above the ground, both sideway and inverted, too ... I am still working on the inverted on my Thunder (b-series) and not good enough as my power kite yet ... I have not complete "all" stall position on either kites, but I will soon flawlessly. Keep feeding me more information, I may be old fart, but I ain't stop flying kite ... I love to challenge myself, always !!! -

I find this article very interesting ... thanks. Issue 40: Milking the Breeze (part 2) -
I find this wind speed is 4mph (6.437km/h) hard to believe to make that kite moves fast and cupping ? Come on, now ... how is that possible ? Maybe you speaking in different language or kindly explain it to me ... I can not move kite that fast at 4mph top ... I am still trying ... (of course, I am a beginner on Rev, but I believe I have reached at intermediate, not sure yet) I believe that having a full sail 9ft widespan kite will have more kite's surface/area to catch more light wind to make it fly up easier than a 6.5ft blue masking tape covered mid-vent B-Series kite, due smaller kite's surface/area ... only thing I can do at 5 mph with blue masking tape covered mid-vent B-Series is vertical (sideway) hovering. Speaking of mini Rev video I saw ... I can imagine how much wind that mini Rev is required to make it fly. It makes me think of a "Walmart" plastic bag that cupping the light wind, but that is extremely lightweight and wind could not escape the "Walmart" plastic bag, so it ballooning hard then escaping at the handles of the bag.

2 homemade "Rev 1" ? What was the wind speed on the mountain ? ... and the beach? Well-done, beautiful kites and good entertaining. I am glad to see more videos of quad lines Rev ... thanks for uploading

I am back and (laughing) had a great battle against high wind (new record, 24mph ... avg 17mph) ... I told myself that one more flight of each before going home ... flew oZone ... done ... flew Thunder's (my B-Series kite nickname) then Thunder landed hard that cracked bottom right vertical end cap into hollow rod piece and the rod/spar shot into the air like a missile ... I am pretty sure that Thunder is done for the day (laughing) ... ... Thunder's fine and will have to wait for new part, before flying again Q: What is the difference between rod and spar ? (if same, then I chose rod, because spar is for martial arts) I probably won't reply again tonight, due video editing and AT&T DSL's upload speed is painstakingly slow. Thanks makatakam ... that is good to know. John B ... that is beautiful flying there. SparkieRob ... thanks for the tips.

Wow ... I have not thought about 1mph times 2 VS 10mph times 2 ... extremely point taken ... thank you ... I probably have a couple last question ... on this Rev 1 : 1) of course, without any possible using stacks, does it still acts like a power kite ? 2) it would be nice to add Rev 1 toward to behind my B-Series as stack ... It may have to be the same size to stack, since both kite have a very similiar shape, except size is larger ... is this possible and doable ? I can not see how blast and b-series stack together ... it's like putting a Corvette engine into a Pinto car. Weather Updates ... and going to fly both kite ... on videos ... I will be back later

Hahah, nice pics. Let's not confuse the OP, though. The last pic and the comment about Lee leads me to believe the guys in the first two pics are flying stacks of Rev I's. A stack will pull a lot more than a single kite. DeafThunder, can you tell us a little more about what you are looking for in your next kite? Are you looking for something with pull/power? Are you looking for something fast or ??? Are you looking for something that would work well in a certain wind range that you don't already have covered with the kites you have? If so, what is that wind range? It could help with recommendations. You seem to be concerned with low wind flyability, high wind durability, and possibly an interest in power. I'm not sure you can get all of that in one kite, unfortunately, so you might need to decide what is more important for your next kite. Stacks ? ... a very good question, and I will wait for his response, whether it's stacked or not ... I know that I can not afford 3 more kites to fly the stacks Exactly on the second paragraph ... that is my exactly point about getting the second kite ... You are correct that it is impossible to put all Rev Kites into One Kite ... I kinda wish did not purchase the mid-vent and I still love it ... With blue masking tape covered the vents does help a lot to fly at low wind on a shorter lines (27') ... my mid-vent b-series is awesome at between 9 to 20mph ... I love it ... 20 vs 4 ? that is kinda huge margin ... Hmm (thinking) ... hard to say ... first of all, I may get the 2 lines kite, next fall or two years from now ... my answers to your questions would like to have to be a huge kite to fly (of course, with power and speed) without using any of the blue masking tape at around 1mph ... my average wind in this Kentucky is like 6mph to 8mph and also, I want some good workout at higher wind speed, but just don't lift me up and dive straight down. ALL of your opinions do help me to think clearly of what I would like to buy as my 2nd kite ... Appreciated. This guy here in the video ... kinda rough on that (regular) Blast ... EASY !!! lol Oh, yeah, he slidded ... LOL

Thank you for showing that awesome photos !!! I was laughing after I read that those are Rev 1 for real ... that is what I wanted to know ... I though that Rev 1 would be so fragile and I am glad that you proved me wrong with a smile. That is how I do it with my oZone power parafoil kite at 12+mph I love it and will do it for like 6 hours like I did with my oZone and slept so good afterward Yes, I have a Custom (not pro & sunset color) B-Series and flew 90 hours in 5 weeks on it mark by now ... I just flew my B-Series with 27ft 50lbs fishing line tonight around 10mph in the front lawn with trees ... I have not hit any trees or the truck, because I still have about 30ish feet 1/4 sphere of wide-opening) ... the good thing is that all I practicing was hovering any 90° (inverted is still hard to control, but got better ... slowly) and the 360 center spin-stop-hovering and all that for about 30 minutes, just before the gust wind picking up (weather said that gust wind up to 40 mph) ... time to go in Here is the weather update on 11-12-15 @ midnight ... ... and my kite at my Dad's house ... On that beach, how much wind is that? It can't be more than 12mph, due flags, sand smoke, gulf or bay waves, maybe ? I'll go with Rev 1, because that kite got power which is doable and cheaper, alot cheaper than power Blast ...because I don't want to be lifted by Blast 2-4, then dive to earth which is probably nothing like parafoil power kite that glide you down slowly. Will you please show me some more of power Rev 1 photos/videos and super low wind Rev 1 (outdoor) videos? I have search these single word or combination words on youtube and vimeo to look for more Revolution Quad Kiting such as rev, revolution, mini rev, night, kite, kiting, blast 2-4, power, ballet, quad ... I have seen those ... ... I know there are alot more online, but rev videos are not using those words in the title or description which is make it so hard to find ... any other words? p.s. ... I laughed again ... love those photos ... thanks !!! For $100 more from Rev 1 to Rev (regular) Blast ... ARGH ... yes, I do like power and of course, speed, too care to tell me advantage / disadvantage between about these two : Rev 1 vs Blast ... I saw the specification ... Blast is mixed with shockwave (which is going to be discontinued) and supersonic and a half a foot wider wingspan

drive me crazy ? I can tame or hovering any position (but on inverted, slightly harder with lots of jerk movement ... LOL) my 3m oZone parafoil power kite at the dead center window at 19-22mph and flew 6 feet up and about 20 feet across ... that was my best one and it's awesome ... is that 21mph power flying crazy enough for me to handle this blast 2-4 at 15 mph ? what do you mean by that "drive you crazy" I adore my oZone power kite and I can even do lots tricks including flying backward across the low windows from 9 to 3 and 3 to 9 ... oh yeah, I can dive stop as well then fly backward upward about half way up ... it's hard and it is totally doable like I can do with B-Series ... ha ... I have videos ... I will need excess hours to edit it all together or into parts. maybe I understand that I should never jumped in this blast 2-4, because it does not glide you down safely like a parafoil power kites do ... I just need all the information about Blast 2-4 DOs and DON'Ts or/and PROs and CONs before I make the decision ... Graceful Flying kite ... explain in great details ... this can not be use in higher wind due might break rods/spars ? ... I don't know, if I want that "sleepy and boring" graceful flying kite

A list of (individual) "trick" name : "name" of movement/path
DeafThunder replied to DeafThunder's topic in Quad Heads
that is paid/donation subscription only yes, I saw those and those are great starting points !!! ... I had to slow the speed to allow me to read the CC and see what you doing at the same time ... I saw them all and will re-watch until I am sick of it (someone suggested that to me ... LOL) ... there are other youtube or vimeo video did not have true closed caption and "automatic" CC thing is so funny and confusing ... just like these guys explained so funny and worth to learn/watch. Thanks ... updated. -
This link below is a name of movement or path (not a "trick" name) http://kitelife.com/forum/topic/6731-quad-lines-revolution-kites-tricks-name/ I hope these are helpful and any advice is still greatly appreciated BLACK color = normal text RED, underline and BOLD color = "Official" trick name ORANGE color = Demonstration VIOLET color = Extra information This is actually a list of beginner "trick" name ... help us out Launch ... takes off Hovering ... holding still at and floating Dive Stop ... Dive, dead stop and hover ... usually first cool move for a beginner learns ... this move can be done in any direction. It is merely more dramatic in the vertical, from up to down, but is done at any angle, including going up This is actually a list of intermediate "trick" name ... help us out Slide ? : ????????? This is actually a list of advanced (possible combination) "trick" name ... help us out Since I am deaf, I really don't know what it has been said in the video without reading lips or "true" closed caption ... so, I hope to making this trick list simpler to understanding better what those tricks are. My grammer is not good ... correction is greatly appreciated ... Thanks !

Thanks, SHBKF !!!

Thanks, Wayne Dowler !!! ... I really love my 3m oZone power kite, as well as, my mid-vent B-Series (with blue masking tape every now and then depends on the wind speed) ... I probably going for Blast 2-4 for my workout and entertaining as well Anyone else ?
-
I read the specification on both kite ... what are the questions you should ask me, before I make the purchase ? what is your opinion "difference between these two" ? which one you chose first to buy as second kite and for what reasons ? is this $289 a good price for "New" Rev 1 kite at eBay aka cobrakites.com ?

I got this awesome power kite as a gift from my Uncle Wendell now, I wanted to know what kind of lines is this ? ... the quality on this line is beyond excellent and I love it. I would like to fly this power kite line on my Rev ... I have tested it and it works ... it's between 100' - 120' ... but, it's 2 pair of different length that I have to re-adjust the line to make it even ... so I am hoping to find the same line, but with shorter length like 30', 60' and 120' for my Rev ... Thanks and any inputs are greatly appreciated.
-
I forgot the question to ask ... What kind of line is that ? Is there a problem for it ? ... of course it would be slightly heavier ... I have flew my B-Series with power kite line, after excessive adjustment to get it right (not the kite, the line and adjustment on the handles as well) I got the answer

That works great ... I had fun with that on my mid-vent b-series kite with blue masking tape "full sail" ... I can get down to almost 4 mph by flying 12 to 6 hovering vertically (still don't know what is it called) ... lines on the kite is the fishing line ... the 80 ft pro line is on the right across the pave. I am a little disappointed with the quality made on the pro lines 80 ft set that comes with B-Series ... the clothes is worse than Wal-mart generic shoelace ... the lines is great, (I was told it's pro line) but 1 of the 4 strings at half way ... you can see tiny fray while flying ... Anyway ... I love my power kite lines, never have an issue with it and I don't even know what kind, brand, strength, etc is it ... and I want to get that exact same (power kite) line (of course, 4 same length) for my B-Series. blue masking tape full sail kite Bowtie on the light pole I absolutely LOVE this set up on my handles now this is the 1 mile long string to fly my single 7 ft wide kite (I don't know where this kite is at anymore and know that it has a broken rod) at Daytona Beach over 10 years ago ... so sore after 1.5 hours of winding it down ... it was awesome memories. this is how I transfer the string into another homemade board winder ... LOL ... it works ... it took me about a little over 10 minutes
-
OK, that looks like that is the end of it ... I am going to review those words and may have question about it, then create a new discussion for "trick" name afterward.

a what ? ... that is more liking "WTF ?" LOL ... in english, please I'm sorry. I meant to type "water tip flume", not "water tail flume". My bad. I don't understand how putting spin on a cue ball would help. Sorry, that is not helping ... https://goo.gl/0pSWfK ... third image is suitable for this "google search or help" ... LOL I play Miniclip 8 Ball Pool android app for over 2 years ... putting a spin on a cue ball does help, but not necessary, except guaranteed going for scratch.
