I found some old posts on making line sets and am deciding between a sheathing kit w/ tool or using line I have + an 'E' guitar string. I just want to re sheath my top Rev lines. The kits only have 4 or so cut pieces of sheathing. While on the sheathing topic, any advice for limiting pulls in the sheathing after a lot of top line adjustments on our Revs? My nails must be the problem!

OK.................. 1st time on a Rev, but not on a quad makes me feel a little better!

NICE! Looking good there, Sandy!!!! So I see that you did indeed get some South wind in LC Sunday. Looks like you guys are in your Fall, Winter, Spring 'flying on the Oregon coast' garb already. Did you fly and record at the same time, T?

If this is truly your very first day as a Rev flyer, all I can say is..............nice flying! My 1st day on the lines was not like that

Casual Clinic - Cleveland OH (Sep 14th, 2014)
northwavesailor replied to John Barresi's topic in Scheduled Events
It would be WELL worth getting up early for a JB clinic..............and I am NOT a morning person by any means!!! Karen & I are both looking forward to John returning to the NW this Fall for some 'mo Rev lessons. -
I thought Andi made these, but didn't know if they were for personal use or he made and sold them like Polo Kites or Shook Weaves.

WOW! 22 wraps and not bound up is pretty awesome!

Holy Moly, Wayne.......................100 hours in 11 days!!! You are a BEAST................ So is your Skybond line set now classified as 'OLD'? Since you and Paul both agree that age or wear ('old') are the limiting factor on line and line longevity, I guess we'll just go with the Skybond for our new 120' lengths. I do like the yellow color as well as the slick feel when wound up a few rotations. I can't guess how long (in terms of months) it would take us to rack up 100 hours 'on the lines'!!!

I know there are fans of both LPG & Skybond lines for group flying. We have and use use both brands in shorter lengths and are ready to buy some 120' sets. We like the yellow color of the Skybond in the sand as well as the more slippery feel, but want to get opinions of those who have flown in small groups where both flavors were used together. At this point, it will just be the 2 of us on one brand of line or perhaps 4 with 2 on one brand and 2 on the other. I am leaning towards getting the 120' linesets in Skybond, but just checking with others to be sure crossing lines with LPG will not damage the Skybond line. I did speak with Wayne Dowler yesterday at WSIKF and he thought they played well together!

Perhaps a silly question, but what quad kite is featured in this video? Thanks

YIKES!!!! That was one good looking bowl o' shrimp you had for dinner back at lake. If anyone is on the fence about attending any JB clinic, just do it........................I promise, he won't bite! -
Best Kite for Tails (non SLK)?
northwavesailor replied to SkyPuppets LimitVoodoo's topic in General Sport Kite
We were surprised that Karen flew for close to 2 hours with '0' tangles! Here are some pics where we thought the tails should have caused some problems: -

We were in Lincoln City this week and tried these matching tails on a Rev! Adds some fun and a new dimension to Rev flying. -

We were on the Oregon coast for a few days and ended up buying 1 X-tra vent to 'share'. That was yesterday.............. and with big winds ramping up again today (full vent was really WOUND UP!!!) bought another X-tra vent today. Unless Rev comes up with an X-X Vent I think we're set! We like the colors we bought so that's worth a bit as well.
