  1. As far as new flyer goes..... Typically the 1.5 sle was the "go to" for beginners due to the SLE rods being relentlessly durable. At least that's what I learned on and still have a couple for loaning to beginners. That kite you have(B-Series) was considered the best of the best for flying. I have a full set and love them. Don't sell it!!
  2. That is a Rev. B series full vent. Made for higher winds. It goes.... Standard, Mid-vent then full vent.
  3. Hmm....would've been nice to see them all lit up at night. I like my finger lights. Cheap or not, they work great and can be placed all over the kite with spars. Thanks for sharing 🤙
  4. What are the Northern Lights you speak of? Pics? Links?
  5. Each have mini batteries of their own. Go to Amazon and type in "finger lights"
  6. I bought these and love them. No crazy contraption to attach and add weight. Just small rubber bands to the spars and you're good to go.
  7. I've heard of guy's putting full bags of kites to cover all wind ranges. Never heard of anyone having issues with heat damaging kites. Fly on🤙
  8. I'd check out local pawn shops. Believe it or not, I've come across a few sets.
  9. Has anyone ever heard of or have done business with kiteworld.com out of Florida? I'm debating buying from them so wouldn't mind knowing if anyone else has. Thanks!
  10. Lulu, don't remotely worry about asking questions. That's why we're here. To help. Believe me, I was right where you are right now. It was nerve wracking. So ask away and don't feel bad! Goofball 🙃🤣🤣
  11. My apologies, it's been so long since I've seen the original setup that I've forgotten how they came. 🤣 So yeah, just add knots, make sure they're even then proceed to John's recommendations on his first response to this thread.
  12. These are my handles. So I'd try and mimic the amount of knots then do what John Barresi suggested.
  13. From the looks of those lines coming off the handle, I can almost guarantee there's where your problem lies!! Where in the world did you buy that setup???
  14. Another option is joining the whole array of Facebook groups out there and then posting to see if there are any local flyers nearby to show you in person. 👍
  15. What he☝️☝️☝️ said🤣🤣
  16. As far as tuning, one of the biggest things was making sure the lines are connected to the correct knots on the handles. If you're using the farthest knots out then I could almost guarantee you that is where your problem is. That video Makatakam mentioned will enlighten you! You'll see that and you'll have the "aha" moment. 😉
  17. View Advert Prism Zephyr Eggplant I'm looking for a Prism Zephyr in the Eggplant color pictured. PM me if you have one available. Preferably in mint or new condition Advertiser windwarrior Date 08/02/2020 Price $0.01 Category Kites (Dual Line) Brand Prism Model Zephyr
  18. Good way to look at it or reference it too👍 Another way I typically refer to it other than Black Bottom is Brake Bottom since brakes are at the bottom. For my dual line kites I always go with Red Right since there's a Red or Black option for those as well. 👍✌
  19. If memory serves me, black bottom👍
  20. I'd contact Rev directly and talk with Lolly👍
  21. Common framing won't be a problem at least not between all the Revs since I have a ridiculous amount of those. Only one I'm worried about would be the Djinn since I don't own any and no clue which set they run with.
  22. Once this covid is dealt with I have a source I'm going to connect with so I can try the Djinn and compare it to the standard 1.5 and B series I have. I'm dieing to actually SEE the differences first hand since I'm a hands on kinda person.
  23. I'd see what Rev comes up with since they're looking into one for you. I second Riffclown on looking for anyone in your area to test drive one AND for tips on fine tuning things like which knot settings to use etc.
