Guest Russ Posted September 29, 2006 Report Posted September 29, 2006 Question for my fellow Quadheads, I just picked up a Rev 1.5 SUL. Flys great. One minor glitch maybe someone can help me with. When tieing the heaver sleeved flying lines to the liteweight bridle, the knots like to slip off the bridle . (Larksheads) I thought of doubbling up the bridle knots to make them bigger but before I do that, has anyone out there had this problem also and is there another fix for it? Russ Quote
Dorsal Posted September 30, 2006 Report Posted September 30, 2006 I usually Larkshead the bridle loops onto my flying lines, but tying larger knots on the bridle lines would probably work also. Actually, since you're flying the SUL (if you have a set of lines used primarily for that kite), you could just remove the sleeves altogether. I've stopped sleeving my new lines at all, no matter what kite I'm flying, since the lines are usually cut by some stupid kid with a WalMart $2 kite and cotton lines, long before the line wears out anyway. John Barresi Posted September 30, 2006 Report Posted September 30, 2006 You could put small dacron pigtails on the spectra bridle, near the line attachments... These will provide a bigger knot to work with. Quote
Guest Guest Posted September 30, 2006 Report Posted September 30, 2006 Thanks gentlemen. I'll try those suggestions! Russ Quote

kite slinger Posted October 8, 2006 Report Posted October 8, 2006 I used a small plastic bead from a necklace tied to the bridle at the contact point Quote
