This is the first time I have tried posting pictures so hope it works OK. :)

I took all my family today thought I would try each of them out. There was not enough wind really but had some fun with the Exp and Rev2's. The Rev1 was rather sluggish due to very low wind at the time. What I think is a SS just didnt want to play at all.

I am a bit worried about the SS. There is no Revolution logo on it and the bridle seems to be made out of completley different line to the other Revs. I hope it is proper. I am sure you guys will let me know what you think.

The Rev 1 is a fairly early one according to Lolly. Unfortunatly it has about a 6" tear along the join between the sail and the mesh part. It flies OK but I dont want it to get any worse if I can help it. Specially as it is an early one. I would quite like to try making a sail to conserve the origonal. What is the concensus on me trying to make a sail to fit the spars, then I can keep the old sail without the risk of damaging it any further. Is this a big no no or is it allowed?

Anyway going to try to make the pictures work. Any comments or opinions all acepted. I know they are not limited editions but they are special to me.

Regards, Chris

Ah, I thought I could load a number 200k files. Look like I need to make them smaller. Will try again.

Then again could do a number of posts!! Will try to get the other 4 on this post.

I like the big picture of the Rev 1 though.

post-1363-1168800117_thumb.jpg

Do you think this is a real rev SuperSonic?

OK so I will have to try to send the others later. Will have to drop the sizes to fit in the space available. Ok so you learn more form mistakes than getting it right all the time.

Could you please let me know if you think the SS is a good un or not.

Thanks,

Chris.

Just to let you all know, I realised I could edit the first post after I tried to put them all in different posts. I could have edited this one out as well and put them all in the first post. Thought I would leave it like this, just to show we are not all perfect in fact I know I am not. My Wife keeps telling me so. She did help to take some flying shots of the Rev family though.

baloo you have 2 nice rev 1 kites and the pink one looks like an 80s rev 1 as for the ss wow that is a true classic ive never seen one like that nice kites all around

Definitely a knock off.

I keep meaning to take pics of all mine so, once it warms up a little I'll do it again. I know thw last set I took on the REVisions site is out of date.

Oh well looks like I have got to say I have 4 Revs and a knock off then. Still it flies and was cheap enough so why should I worry too much. :blue-confused:

Sort of glad it ended up on a seperate post as it really dont belong with the others. I will have to put it in the cold outside store while I keep the real ones in the warm house. :ani_punk:

Want to get maybe a Sle and some sort of vented some time. The Rev 2's are fun. By the way Ant Man it is actually Red, came out a bit pink in the photo.

Thanks for the advice folks although I am a bit dissapointed :(

Regards, Chris.

Cheers for that Ant, I will wipe my eyes now and try bravely to smile!! tee hee.

Yep, a kite is a kite. Think I am going to sell my waterfoil though, blooming thing dragged me across the park on my face again the other day. Now what could I put the money towards, I wonder.

Thanks for your comment Wufer. I think you are the closest to me I have seen on here. Seen your posts on some of the other forums I frequent. YES I KNOW. KITELIFE IS THE BEST!!!!!!!!!!!!!! but there has to be some variety in life.

By the way just bought this on Ebay. That will be 3 Rev 2.s now, can see a stack coming on.

Like the solid colour on it. Still like my red one best though.

And yes lets see a picture of your 2000. Must admit I have thought of making one myself. Got some dayglo orange ripstop here somewhere.

I have 8 REV 2s talk about a stack B)

Bet that is fun to fly.

And I am jealous of that purple rev 2. Wanna sell it ;)

As you probably saw from my earlier pictures I have a solid Red as well. It looks pink in the photo but it is Red really.

I have only just bought it and have not seen it "in the flesh" as yet. I am told it is perfect, will have it in a couple of days. I may LOVE it and not want to part with it.

Sell it NO, swap it maybe. For a Rev B or one of those lovely Eye Revs!! Mabe even a nice 8 stack. :)

Seriously may swap. Paid a lot for it, just a few cents off $200 US, I expect you could buy a new one for that. Rev kites are more expensive here for instance a SLE will cost you around $370US.

Let me have a look at it and will get back in touch if you are really interested. Would like to ask you some stack questions but got to go to the dentist in a bit (you can imagine I would rather be flying).

Hang on Dentist can wait. This is important!!

7 stack lines. Top and bottom spars, end and centre leading edge. Around 4 foot long?

Bottom lines of rear kite may need shortening a bit. Fly the back kite not the front.

Will 90lb lines be ok for a 3 stack? Will the standard leading edge be ok?

Presume the stack will fly slower than a single with more pull. How much more pull, like a Rev 1 or more?

Any more advice you have greatfully accepted.

I forget you like pounds and not dollars ;)

I can get a new REV II in an assortment of colors for around 170 shipped with handles and line.

That purple is a neat color. I have been after the old solids. Not sure why, I dont think they really have anymore monetary value but I just like them. I signed a deal with my wife that I would never sell or trade only buy. But maybe I can work out a deal with my favorite kite shop to be like a middle man, LOL.

Most I have paid for a used REV II was 120.00 but I am sure that purple one is worth every bit of 200 especially to REV fanatics like you and me. I always try to talk Monkey boy out of his purple one and he says the same thing, "What do you have to trade?" Trading gets me in trouble... LOL

I paired that purple one of my (solid purple, pink letters) with a second one last night, solid PINk with purple letters. Of course, I used a bright red brdile line for the stack lines. Pics soon! That being said, I'm very overdue for a set of pictures covering all my kites.

Bet the pair stack looked good Monkey.

No problems an the trade embargo QK, we all have to make deals.

My deal is if I want a kite I will buy it. Then I have to duck for a few days ;)

Can you drop me a line about my stack questions please. Specially the line strength, dont want to get the stack up then loose it that would be a shame. :w00t:

Your comments re price make me feel a bit better. Three Revs 2 of which are solid colours for around $490 not bad then.

Check out the post of John's tutorial axel video. Someone answered my stack question there. I have never stacked a REV II either but they gave me some feedback on stacking. I want to order the line to do so. My problem is when I get to the kite field I dont like to experiment, I just like to fly. That is why I am not so keen on competing but I do plan to bust out one day and compete, its just that at comps it doesnt really seem like kite flyers get to fly much. I am a sunrise to sunset flyer, especially with REVs.

Yeah good price there. I don't like to put monetary values on my favorite REVs, because to me they are priceless. I have passed up a few solid colors recently, notably green and yellow. I am saving for my B series.

Talk about ducking, should've seen when I got the Randy Tom custom. Needless to say, a lot of shopping at the mall went down the following weekend. ;)

It looks so easy, in fact, he tied the loops while we were sitting in the restaurant waiting for our dinner to arrive :w00t:

2/3 the length of the LE? Right? Times 6 attachment points..... (7 if you choose to add one the middle of the LE)

Correct. May want to toss an extra foot in for the knotting as well. I'll have pics of the pair together this weekend in Texas. And Ill take one of the stack lines as well. Piece of cake to put together really.

My Mini Rev 1 stack has bright orange bridle line connecting it up ;)

Look forward to seeing the picture Monkey. Can you actually see the stack lines from a distance?

Would 4 foot be about right for a Rev2 stack?

Regards, Chris.

Ya, 4 is about right for IIs. Don't know yet, it has yet to fly however I do have it with me for this trip to Texas John and I leave for tomorrow am!

The orange on the 1 stack showed but, not in a bright hideous way.

Thanks for that. Just wondered about the lines showing up. Thought I might be able to join Ant in blinging it up ;)
