Quad KiT Posted February 5, 2007 Report Posted February 5, 2007 Looks like I found the new REV colors at awindofchange's website. Very nice guys with getting those up first! B series is on there too! URL is spelled wrong, take that up with John I guess Quote
windofchange Posted February 6, 2007 Report Posted February 6, 2007 Thanks Quadkit, we have been busy trying to get the pictures up for everyone. Hopefully we can get some better higher quality pics soon but these will at least give you a good idea on what the new colors look like. Like always, seeing the colors in the air are a lot better than any picture can do. We are still updating our B-series URL and writeup, should be finished in the next couple days. Kites should be here any day now....we can't wait to get them! Quote
ant man Posted February 6, 2007 Report Posted February 6, 2007 well for now the pics look good enough to get an idea of what you have Quote

I saw the current Rev catalog this weekend, and it displayed the 2005 Rev 1 colours as well however I noticed that there was at least one in the KTAI updates that showed a new sail pattern, colour scheme. Quad KiT Posted February 12, 2007 Author Report Posted February 12, 2007 That Tony the Tiger, red and black striped one in the stack! Quote

Notice that the panel cut is also quite different. The same is also true for the REV II shown at KTAI. The REV I at KTAI had 11 panels versus the 7 panels of the 2005 colors. Quote
ant man Posted February 12, 2007 Report Posted February 12, 2007 i likt the tony the tiger colors too theyre grrrrrrrrrrreeeeaaaaaaat as a true frosted flakes fan for years rev finally got it right Quote
windofchange Posted February 12, 2007 Report Posted February 12, 2007 We have not yet got a definite on new colors for the Rev 1, their new catalog shows the same color layout as the 2006 colors but there have been a couple of combinations that were discontinued and a couple that were added. We are updating our website so we can show the color changes. The Tony Tiger pattern that is shown in the KTAI photo is actually a prototype of a new idea Rev is thinking of making available. It is a "Progressive Stack" which will have a matching Rev II, Rev 1.5, and Rev 1 all pre-stacked together in a package (look closely at the KTAI photo, you will see the stack lines and all three kites). It has been suggested that the stack package comes with extra bridles to be able to un-stack the kites and fly each one individually as a single, giving the owner a matching set of all three models or a really awesome stack. I was all for this idea when I had the chance to talk to Lolly and Joe at the show about it. I hope they bring this idea into production. Time will tell! Quote
Quad KiT Posted February 13, 2007 Author Report Posted February 13, 2007 well tell them I will buy at least one stack! Quote
ant man Posted February 13, 2007 Report Posted February 13, 2007 i like the fact they went back to all cloth Quote
John Barresi Posted February 13, 2007 Report Posted February 13, 2007 I flew the progressive stack today... Handles real nice, the Rev II in front makes the stack more responsive. Quote
ant man Posted February 13, 2007 Report Posted February 13, 2007 any idea on the price on that setup Quote
johnnmitchell Posted February 13, 2007 Report Posted February 13, 2007 I flew the progressive stack today... Handles real nice, the Rev II in front makes the stack more responsive. Progressive trains are a lot of fun. You can even axel them. Over the years I have made up at least 4 progressive trains. The first was done in blue wave colors during 1993 before the REV 1.5 came out. See attached photo. The second was my rainbow scheme in January 1995. I flew them with 6 tails each which was a disaster when I flew backwards or stopped as the tails mixed into the train lines. Sorry, I don't never had a photo. The third was in late 1995 with original revs. The I and II were yellow and pink the REV 1.5 was Raspberry, blue and black. I axeled this in St. Moritz for the public that year. See attached photo when it was on the ground in St. Moritz. The fourth in 1997 was original REV and all in the same color scheme but the the 1.5 pattern did not match the I and II. See attached photo. Enjoy, John Quote
