browndude3649 Posted April 19, 2007 Report Posted April 19, 2007 I bought a couple of tails (24' tails Premier brand) for my Premier Addiction and for high wind days i wanna put on some tails. how and where do i pin the first one on? BTW i was having a killer time with my addiction when i wrapped one line around one of the stand-offs unknowingly and then broke said stand-off. Problem- the stand-off doesn't come apart. I tried prying it with a screwdriver to separate it- but no joy. Seems to be press fit or ? I already called Premier about the topsreaer i lost and they sent me one for FREE I'm wondering what the 're gonna say when i call them up Quote
ant man Posted April 19, 2007 Report Posted April 19, 2007 the kite should have a pigtail on it if not its eazy to make one just take some line tie a big loop and cut it at the knot then larks head the top part of the loop to the bottom of the dpine and then take another piece of line at 5 inches and tie it to your tail put a knot on the other end and larks head the loop on the kite to the tail once its all set up all youll have to do is tie and untie the tail from the kite in one spot Quote
browndude3649 Posted April 21, 2007 Author Report Posted April 21, 2007 so i make a loop on the up-down spine? cuz the tails come with swivels(cool). My addiction doesn't have a loop like others i've seen. Thanks for the advice Quote
ant man Posted April 21, 2007 Report Posted April 21, 2007 you can just tie the loop in the swivel you see just open the swivel . make a larks head . nad loop it therugh, and close the swivel , its that eazy Quote

I've got 2 tails (24' each) But my Addiction doesn't have a little loop built into the sail like some other kites i've seen so ckeck these out and point me in the right spot to attach the tail. Quote
John Barresi Posted April 23, 2007 Report Posted April 23, 2007 Use a small pigtail on the spin, just above the tip of the tail... Then attach the tail to the pigtail. Quote

John Barresi Posted April 23, 2007 Report Posted April 23, 2007 A pigtail is a small loop of line... Cut a 6" piece of line (similar to your bridle material), fold it in half, and tie both the ends together in an overhand knot. This loop is then larks headed onto the spine, above the tip of the tail. Quote
