John Barresi
So it's that time of year again and traditionally we go out to our local field for a New Years fly, fully equipped with a canopy, thermals, hot coffee/tea, soup, heat packs, etc... All the little things that make even the coldest of conditions bearable, along with the warm companionship of other crazy kitefliers like yourself. So, let's kick it off... Who's coming out to Delta Park on January 1st for some kite flying? Check in at the URL below or post here and I'll add you to the list... It's not an RSVP by any means, just showing how many folks are likely to come out. http://www.revkites.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=3510

Guru4tru
WOW!! I hope you'all have fun! (and that all survive too!) Keep It Up! Duane
John Barresi
Last year it was POURING rain, but the few people who did show up had a fantastic time and met up for a lovely dinner that evening. Say, let's do it again! <GRIN>
Guru4tru
No...I meant that seriously!! It sounds like a blast! And I'd really like to meet some of you! If I had the coin to fly up there for a day and back (don't think I could survive more then a day of temps. below 60') I'd do it! Take some pictures so I can indirectly enjoy the flight! Thanks, Keep It Up! Duane

Post your number so we can all wish you a Happy New Year as we get Dodgy-ed! -------- BTW-When flying in a climate like that, do they have leading edge heaters (like on airplane wings) to keep the ice from building up? JoneZ
This sounds like a blast. I'll be there (if Im not too hung over. lol) with all my kites blazin'! The holiday season is so busy for me,, I've got christmas, then my birthday, then boxing day (CDN holiday), then new years. A nice relaxing fly day would be a great unwinder (no pun intended) for all the craziness of my holiday. Maybe I could even convince my Wife to come. Yeah...When I started flying the dualies I was replacing parts regularly, so when I got (my wife) a Rev. I bought a bunch of extra parts to replace what I'd break without any down time. But, to my surprise I haven't broken anything so far...and I'm slightly beyond the most dangerious part of the learning!! ("Knock On Wood") Keep It Up! John Barresi
START TIME, great question! If it's clear and not to ugly weather-wise, I'm going to shoot for around 9am. If it's a bit fugly, maybe 10-11am. Duane, now you just need to plan your west coast trip! Five minutes with me on a Rev, it'll change your whole world, I promise.
