My wife was driven by our local kite shop(Paint the Sky Kites ) here in Portland and saw a "going out of business sale" sign in the window .

Anyone hear from Jill or John on whats going on?

Only thing I heard was that He was going to join forces with Guildworks. So their probably around somewhere. What a shame! Loved their logo!

I hate to hear about kite shops going out of business.

On a similar note, Main Frame kites in Edgewood, WA will be closing it's retail store at the end of the month.

Herb says he's going to keep running out of his house, spend more time with his wife, and try to make more of the local events.

The store will be missed. Glad Herb will still be around.

Agreed, I have a lot of good memories of hanging out at Herb's store. Met a lot of kite friends there too. Could even say the seeds of 6th Sense were planted there, since that is where I met Scott and where we first decided to start flying pairs.

That is to bad about Herb's store. It's the first I heard of it. Wow, bet that will be missed by many over there. His house is big. hehehe He may still carry lots of stock.
