CLTKiter Posted November 10, 2005 Report Posted November 10, 2005 OK, here's the scenario: You're leaving town for a long weekend in a neighboring state to visit your spouse's relatives. You love them, but would rather not spent all the time with them that your spouse might. One of the places you're going to visit is out in the country where the house has some open fields that may possibly be well-mowed. The weather is calling for mid 60's with wind 9-10 mph. Your loving spouse has said that you may take two kites and accessories. Which two do you take, and what accessories? My answer: 1. Rev 1.5M, 100#x85' lines, standard handles, stake 2. mylar Dragonfly fighter kite, waxed cotton line on gator reel Doug Quote
Backspin23 Posted November 10, 2005 Report Posted November 10, 2005 1. Sea Devil, 110' line set, handles, and 3pt and 5pt lower spreaders 2. Rev 1.5 SLE handles, line, stake, and UL spreader and of course my iPod. I think that should hold me over for a weekend. Quote
audioRob Posted November 11, 2005 Report Posted November 11, 2005 1. Level One JTM 2. Rev I 55' quad lines, 70' dual lines, my special handles and extra set of LS for my jtm and my tilley Quote
John Barresi Posted November 11, 2005 Report Posted November 11, 2005 1. Sea Devil Light, 110' line set, handles, and 3pt and 5pt lower spreaders. 2. Rev I with 100 foot lines and a dogstake. Quote

Tedrick Posted November 15, 2005 Report Posted November 15, 2005 Machine Standard Machine UL 75x110', 140x125', and 140x80' lines (all with handles and leaders installed); 1 extra LS, ULE, and LLE for each kite; and a small tool kit (CA glue, half-dozen C-clips, 2 spare yoyo stoppers, CT for Standard, couple of endcaps, hacksaw, sandpaper, 4 ferrules, and a small tape measure). I plan on spending as much time as possible in those open fields if the wind is blowing and there are minimal trees/hills/buildings to wreck it . . Quote
LLAMAGUY Posted November 15, 2005 Report Posted November 15, 2005 Hmmm. That presents a bit of a dilemma for me. I can only take 2 kites huh? Quote
