Hi,

on the "worldsportkite" website are teams for Berck sur Mer 2006 updated that are members of STACK, AKA or AJASKA.

I`am missing the others. What about Argentina, Columbia, Malaysia?

Hi all,

isn`t it a litle bit sad that there is only one Team from Germany?

Whats the matter?

3 from Japan,

2 from France,

2 from UK.

Does somebody know anything about that?

Hi Stefan, I coud share a few guesses. Did they have other teams compete? Were they able to get the time off of work to attend? Hopefully, it's a reason along those lines.

Its also pretty sad that Canada has never managed to field a team for this, nor the previous World Cup

Though we talk about it a lot. :)

Untrue!...you need to catch up on your history lessons... :)

Check out Issues #6/7 here...

Cal

*Addendum*: Plus I need to add that there have been other years in World Cup history that Canadian teams have been invited but did not attend.

Gathered from various points on the web...

STACK was assigned 7 spots...France 2, UK 2, Germany 1, Italy 1, Spain 1...

Wonder why STACK didn't get more spots???

Will miss Garuda (assuming they would have qualified 2nd), also the Scratch Bunnies...

Hope there is a method to the madness... :)

Hi,

sorry Cal this is not really correct.

There were 3 Teams competing last period in Germany.

1. Watnu

2. Respect

3. Garuda

But, WATNU (National Champion) wasn`t qualified, because "Respect" did reach more

"Judges-Points" in that period (???). So they have been asked first to go to Berck.

But they did not compete at the EC in Cervia, so WATNU (2nd at EC) was qualified for the WSKC.

Even after "Respect" said: no we can`t come to Berck because ... . Garuda was not asked.

Hope you understand this more than I do.

Thanks for the information Stefan, I think I understand what happened.

What seems to be is that STACK, representing over six countries, got only 7 spots total while other organizations like AKA & AJSKA, representing only one country each, got 2 or 3 spots apiece... :)

Must be politics... :)

Cal

p.s. Good luck at Berck & say hi to Georg (we talked for a bit at Lincoln City last year...)

MAN you are old Cal :-D I should have remembered that as I did read those articles when they came out.

Ya, true enough, the year I attended in 97, there was at least one invited Canadian team on the bill from Montreal that couldnt' make it.

One day, we'll return! For this year, I'll represent the entire country with my Revs...

:)
