monkey
Just as an update, you will all be horrified to find out that I won this Ebay auction last night : http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...y0%3D%26fvi%3D1 These are very very short. Very very very. I bet they are even tight. And NEON yellow! I am currently soliciting donations for my travel costs. If these demands are not met, I may will wear these shorts in competition. Repeatedly. And on TV. With no shirt on. And black socks with nice, new, non scuffing sandals. I may even shave a Rev logo into my back hair. You've been warned. Penny Lingenfelter
Didn't those shorts belong to the young lady in the matching bathing suit on the poster that was Revolutions pin up girl in the early 90s? heheh I think so. I would ask ya Monks, wheres yer.b.. nmhahaha those shorts r just too short to ask that hahahathud... correct me if i am wrong...but wouldn't those shorts, due to their nature and size, be more of a PROP than a COSTUME... and THEREFORE banned from the festival? you sick little monkey! maybe kyle should wear them! OR we could set up bags for who has to wear them in the sunday demo..whoever gets the most tickets must incorporate the shorts into their sunday demo... any takers? and then bring them to the next indoor after lincoln city. kinda like the "kiss the pig" contest only with revolution shorts... hehehe anything to sell more tickets

Penny Lingenfelter
We had such a good time, and delicious sushi! Poor Wayne, it was the best kept secret in the place and he didn't get any. We thought everyone knew as we stood around filling our mouths. ehmmm! Monkey, I can't believe you didn't get here first to share those bragging rights! Goodness, next year I'm going to shake my butt, slap it a few times and call it good. lol That butt slapping really did something for the judges, didn't it? lol (Monkey won hot tricks) He sizzled! It was great to get back there and get to know some of the people a little better. Alan, one thing I didn't get to do was tell Stephanie what I thought of her flying. Please express to her for me, that I think she has an excellent touch with a kite and she should go for it! I think she impressed me more then anyone there. She's young, so she'll probably find other interest, but I think she has mass potential. Budzilla took 1st place in the competition and I placed second with my single handle on the indoor Rev. I was tickled pink that I even placed this year, as that handle is so challenging. The event was well ran with good food and good company. It's the kind of event we look forward to returning to. Kudo's to Allen and the crew. Hope we can all do it again next year. BB Penny
John Barresi
Hear hear! monkey
Monkey, I can't believe you didn't get here first to share those bragging rights! I like to try and be humble once in a while.... But, that being said, I'm terribly thrilled by that win, easily a high point of my limited comp career. I was smiling the whole way home! Wait, I still am! One other thing that worked well was once we'd established a no boundaries rule, I made a mental note of exactly where I could stand on the floor to pull the Rev over my head and have it stop inches from the judge's noses. ZoooooooooooooSTOP And ya, I'll echo other's remarks and thank everyone involved with the Up The Wind Festival, it was a reeeeeeally great time from start to finish. And as always, the people who were at the fest are second to none. I miss festivals in the winter just because I like the people I get to hang around with. Kite people are good people. I'm marking this fest onto next years calendar for a repeat visit.
