vertical shaft alternatives?

not sure if this has been covered but what options are there to replacing the vertical shafts on my rev xx broke two within a month's time granted the wind may had been to strong but I digress, cant afford $100 when they break, any ideas from you kite gurus out there?thanks

Skyshark rod can be purchased for around $10. If you don't mind a camo pattern you can get skyshark rods from Kites and Fun Things for as little as $3 each.  You willneed to be able to trim them to the standard length.

If it is just verts - SkyShark will be plenty good. P400 would be practically indestructible in that position. And you won't need to change any caps.  Do you use the Reflex system? A wrap of electrical tape will work, but a nicer option would be to use some shrink wrap. Don't leave the heat in one place for long!!
