  4. Fantastic, thanks so much for posting this.

At just 13 years of age, Tristan is already dominating indoor competition in the Northwest USA and this particular routine is no exception... Flying an iTrix, he demonstrates skill and talent beyond his years with solid choreography and an amazing display of indoor tricks including multiple Cometes.
  6. Beautiful, thanks for that Mike.
  7. Do you have photos by chance? I probably can't answer, but if you post a photo or two, someone here should be able to help.

  9. Post us a couple of pics of them in action, would ya Walt?
  10. I *think* it's a "land sailer".
  11. Related and "complete" discussion on Rev, just for posterity.
  12. Nope, I can dispel this rumor... Nothing in the works yet. It has been my hope to eventually launch a Kitelife-backed festival, but we're not there yet. Thanks for the hopes though.
  13. I agree with you on the AKA front to some extent, but that's not the AKA, it's the current mindset of the general speaking membership/leadership. On the Rev front... It IS a manufacturer web site, yes - selling Revs *would be* a goal, sensible enough, same the world over. As far as manufacturer sites go, I think you'll find it to be one of the most friendly and helpful around... Many other forums (in and out of kiting) are often RIFE with trolls and mean comments. == While Kitelife is a place to speak plainly, there does come a point where as a publication, it doesn't behoove Kitelife to have finger pointing at other companies or organizations, especially those who see fit to generously contribute to our ongoing ability to maintain this web site when so few others do. And yes, all moderation on Rev comes down to an executive decision by Rev... Here, it's my executive decision, pure and simple. I would offer the idea that you've just brought politics to Kitelife by counter-posing this forum against other forums and organizations. I'd just as soon we stand on our own here.
  14. I really wasn't correcting your spelling, just reminding you to breathe.
  15. Psssst.... Tom... Breathe. I had to tell that to Steve de Rooy before every demo for our first couple of years with iQuad. lol
  16. Hands low and in front, all the time. Rule of thumb, your hands should be between your solar plexus and your belt vertically, and no more than 8" or so outside the width of your torso. In our clinics, I call this the "power zone"... Think about it ergonomically, anywhere outside this area, our arms are in a weakened position. Also, the further apart our hands are, the less control and accuracy we actually have. Food for thought!
  17. Ah, figured it out after reading the AKA's FB page about this... I have the "Causes" app blocked due to too much silly stuff coming my way, and the AKA's petition is using that same app.
  18. Yes, yes... Sorry, a 25 cent piece. LOL I was still a little wind-blown from the weekend.

Chinese subtitles for our HD (1280x720) 3D Flying Rev tutorial in MOV format. (provided by Steven Lim) Inside this zip file download, you'll find an SRT file which should load fine using most major media players (we recommend VLC). You must keep the movie and srt subtitles in the same folder with the same name Example: coastal.mov and coastal.srt Then you can see your subtitles in your movie. 20. I actually put a $25 piece on the tail and was able to do Jacob's Ladder, Cascade and some other cool stuff. It's not a trick monster, but is very well rounded for a little beginner kite.
  21. Hrm, the link isn't working for me.
  22. We're pleased to yet again announce the next prize being given away to our most appreciated supporters, the Kitelife Subscribers... For roughly 10 cents per day they play a major role in keeping KL growing in every way. This is a set of three Cherry Bomb sport kite packages (complete with line and straps) from New Tech Kites, roughly a $150 value ($50 each), all going to one winner! A very capable little kite, the Cherry Bomb is VERY durable, great for beginners, and I've even been able to pull off some pretty solid (albeit undersized) precision and trick flying with these. You can stack 'em, keep in the bag for nearby novices, give away to a kid in need, or play with 'em yourself. <grin> If you haven't done so already, You can sign up here. Odds of winning for this prize is currently 1/234, and will be drawn on May 1st, 2010! Our thanks, and the very best to you... Let the drooling begin.
  23. That would typically be true, I agree, but in this case, the information is going to come out anyway amongst the community and the "other side" needs to be available... I'm all about a "no shadows" policy. On to better things... HOW ABOUT WINNING NUMBER??? Subscriber 478... The incomparable Walt Ellis (known for www.kitestakes.com) is taking these bad boys home! Congrats Walt!
  24. I'll get this done today, I promise... Currently dealing with this problem.
