  10. http://windstarkites.com/FlyPghKiteClub.htm that is the page with the schedule of events for the Fly Pittsburgh Kite Club. And yes we actually live in Apollo northmoreland Park is only 5-10 minutes away from us. The next event is actually June 3rd it's showing for Cooper's Lake I am going to try to attend for sure. Us Western pennsylvanians should all get together before all the good spring wind is gone LOL
  11. I have a couple places I prefer to fly. Northmoreland park is one of them. Crooked creek lake park is another place I love to go. I will be checking out the old football field in Avonmore pa as well since I recently got a kite buggy. I just heard that the Pittsburgh kite club meets in Newcastle pa at a place called Coopers Lake campground and event center. We will be driving up there today to check it out. Even though it is suppossed to storm. I believe we are going to attend the event there coming up as well. I would love to hear of more places near us for flying.

There are tons of videos on my youtube of them also. https://youtu.be/j6TO4jkri9Y that is the video of me flying my micron. Here is my first attempt at the buggy lol https://youtu.be/eBpW5prHqF4 Many more to come !

  15. Hi Todd I am from the Pittsburgh area and was in your shoes not too long ago LOL I can actually give you a lot of beginner tips because I am still a beginner and would even be willing to meet up and show you how to fly I even have a few stunt kites that would be ideal for a beginning flyer that are not brand name but fly very well are very durable. The prism Jazz was my first brand name stunt kite purchase and I must say, if I were to do it all over again I would not have bought the Jazz right out of the gate I would have either went with the quantum like everyone suggested to me but by that time it was too late LOL I found around here wind is not very constant and one of the biggest mistakes I made in the beginning was trying to learn how to fly into little of wind for as heavy as my kite are even the Jazz is in my opinion wakey for its smaller size but let me tell you, with the right wind conditions and Bridal setting this thing flies precise. I would strongly advise after you learn how to fly to invest in a prism 4D they will fly in zero wind even it was definitely worth the purchase it is the 2-line kite I fly the most just because it does not take much wind at all to lift that kite off of the ground and keep ot in the air. HOWEVER It is a fragile kite NOT FOR BEGINNERS. Also. My daughter jist turned 12. I tought her how to fly 2 liners pretty easily. And its like riding a bicycle. If you have any questions please message me here on in dm and I will help as best I can. Jason
  16. JB, I saw yours already that is amazing to say the least. Think about the fanciest I'm going to get is try some eyes from fishing poles to lessen the friction. And maybe link up each line to its own eye. Mine will only be for dual line for now. Any tips for hooking up two sets of lines separately? Here is a video of my dogs taking a larger kite hand launching and catching it dogstaking
