  1. Heres a pic of Dean750 trying to balance his rev on my hand last weekend. -- a little short, next time move a tad closer Dean. heheh
  2. Had a great day today guys and gals. Weather was good, wind wasn't so good, but great company. Learned a bunch as always. Thanks for making my Fiance feel welcome. And THANK YOU to Dean750 for the schoolin, and the linesets. Got them all measured out when I got home this aft. Re-sheathed, and tied the 75# quad lines together for a 90-95ftft dual set. Works great. Good winds KL. ~Jon

  4. So.... Tempting.... Been thinking a lot about it, and I think Im sold on the zephyr. Deciding factor being the accessories it comes with. Can't go wrong with 2 linesets. I see you have it in stock, and right at my price range. We'll be in touch in a few months m8 -- I'd love to grab one off ya after the wedding. ~Jon

    Rev EXP?

WOOHOO!!! Indeed it is. Was just out for an early dawn flight. Winds are about 8Mph here. Soaked my kite, and the lines from dewy grass, but man... The smell of a warming day, with fresh cut, wet grass is so elating. See you all out there on Sun. ~Jon
  6. hehe, I would have loved to buy that red and black rev from Theresa when I stopped by there a couple weeks ago for a new lineset, but I didnt have the cash. How envious I am. Hope to see you out there sometime m8. ~Jon
  7. K, so, I have this old motherboard that's done me SO right for about 9 years. It was an MSI KT4AV Motherboard. State of the art for its time (1999). I loved it. had an AMD Athlon XP @ 2.5Ghz in it. It has traveled with me from Canada to the States wth no problems. Well, last week, I shut my puter down like normal at night. Woke up, tried to start my computer, and nothing. It would turn on, but nothing on the screen. I thought it was my GFX card finally going out on me (an ATI All-In-Wonder Radeon 9600XT AGP). So, I went to a computer store (many actually, since AGP is now a thing of the past, little did I know), and found a cheap ass AGP card. Came home, plugged it in, and still nothing. SO,, I decided to de compile my PC and inspect/clean the entire thing. Well, I came across an ICS relay chip just lying at the bottom of my computer case. Im thinking Holy @!$# where the #$%@$ did this come from!?!?!!11!!ONE!!1! See the pictures below.... I somehow blew this chip clean off my motherboard. I couldnt get close enough, but about 5 of the pins have burnt solder on them. RIP MSI Board. You have done me well. So now I was FORCED (since as you all know we need computers nowadays), to go buy a budget board (since we're saving for our wedding we can't afford anything expensive), with, of all things, an INTEL CPU...... I have been a Loyal AMD and ATI user for over 15 years. I am ashamed... Im sorry AMD, I had no choice.... But, at least I have my computer back up and running. ~Jon

    member 3373

LoL. Sounds funny. But I was off by exactly 20 members. I have such an affinity with the number 3 and 7. They seem to be prevalent in my life in so many subtle and not so subtle ways. 37 has always been my lucky number, since I was a young tyke. Don't know why. I think when I was younger, I just like the way those 2 numbers looked. So I got 3 out of 4 on this one. hehe If only I held off joining for another day or so. lol So, member 3373, here's to you , who ever you are! and I wish I had your member number. That is all. ~Jon
  9. Mostly for anyone visiting the area. There are a handful of members that live in the area from my recollection.

  12. http://maps.google.com/maps/ms?ie=UTF8&amp...mp;t=h&z=14 Made a google map link. Gardner Middle School, and Chapin Park. Both are at 400+ foot elevation, and have no obstructions to break up wind. ~Jon
  13. A video is a must m8. Next time we're out at PIR, I'll bring my camera. Would love to film that.
  14. How much are yours runnin for m8?
  15. Wow. That shadow looks really nice. Watched a couple vids on it in flight. Can't find a buy link anywhere on the net though. Too bad. =\ Im still psyched about the zephyr (although if I run across a shadow in my travels,,,, YOINK!!) Thanks for all the input guys. I Really appreciate it. Helps me sort sh** out in my head. ~Jon
  16. edit: there are not inserts in the lower APA's. I was mistaken. But they do distort after flying. Dean750 recommended using contact glue on fittings to lock them into a stationary position on the leading edge, so they don't distort. I think I will do this after I wear my first pair out. Thanks. ~Jon Another thing I noticed, is that Im wearing through my lower L.E. APA fittings. They also have inserts in them, and it is causing the lower spreaders to distort the natural shape of the fittings themselves. Im wondering if it would be safe to remove these as well? I would probably have to get longer standoffs, to compensate for the removal of them. Any suggestions?
