I have this as my standard set: 1.5 SUL - 2 Wrap B STD - Race B MID - 3 Wrap B VTD - 4 Wrap I have a spare 3 Wrap frame to switch into either the STD or VTD. The Race rods are not a requirement, but can provide a different experience.
-
I like the Slow flying too. Venting really helps me control a rev. I switch up from the STD as soon as there is enough wind to support the MID or VTD.

Hey Must86, Dont give up on the P3 brother. Have you flown the Canard Style Gliders Before? If it is anything like its cousins the Zero-G and Mega, it is a very rewarding glider to fly.

Sweet video, Thanks Bro. Keep it up.

Whatever wind will hold the Kite in the sky without too much effort, thats all you need. Gusts are always a pain, my usual winds have a variance of 5-8mph every 30-45 seconds. It will all help you learn to be a better pilot though

Thanks for the info guys. Awesome to hear how varied indoor flyers are. I will have to look up "Fly Line Backing". Not sure what that is. I do get a bit of a friction thing going on with the 50# Spectra. But I have the Hands of A Metal Worker, So I am not worried about string burn.

Awesome Promo, Great concept. Cant wait for the full film.

The Zero-G is a Sweet Kite. My Progression was Wala to Wala XL to Zero-G. The balance and glides of the Zero-G are great.

Thanks for the input. I am finding the 50# spectra works well on the Zero-G and Mega-Plutz. I am yet to try the Wala and Wala XL with it. Yep, It is the personal preferences that I want to hear about.

I am an outdoor Glider Flyer. I used to just grab any old line to fly my Wala's on. The Wala XL always used the line it came with. The Zero-G line got lost, and I started to use some cheap Dacron I had lying around. Then I decided I should have some nice line on a decent winder, something neat. I found I had 30m of 50# spectra lying about. I put it on a winder and away I went. It is certainly thinner and lighter than Dacron, and I like it. Smooth inputs and low glide resistance. I am glad I put some effort into setting it up. I have seen that Horvath has different thickness lines available, has anyone tried them? What Line do You use for your Single line gliders, indoor or outdoor?

Thanks for the comment. It is a lot of colour, and long too. No, I have not had a better wind day yet. But I will Post an update when I do. -

And now a Little Movie of the kites going up, -
Well, It is a good looking kite. But It needs to be flown. Something else that can be fun with the Zero-G is to use it as an unteathered Glider. It is fun to get great glides, throwing for distance, or to a friend. Also good practice for glide starts, when you do zero wind flying. If you ever have any questions about the Zero-G, let me know.
-
My luck, it would land on top of a building, or up in a tree Not in the park I was in. It is too big for anything to glide that far. Besides I was keeping close to the line, just in case.... You need to get your Zero-G flying dude. It is a great kite.
-
I have played with the nose tension a few times to get a good glide dependant on conditions. I have steered it many times and usually do, Playing the line in and out. Usual SL Glider stuff I just wanted to see what would happen if I let it free glide. The line just draped under the Zero-G and collected on the ground. Thanks Dude.
-
I find the major cause of snags is the knots on the Sleaving. I always make sure they are out of the way before winding the lines on.
-
With practice you willl find what works best for you. I used to take 20 min to set up Quad lines and kite. Now it takes less than 5 min.

The Setting was my local field at Dawn. Zero wind. I gained a few meters of altitude on My Zero-G and just let go of the line. The result was this video:

What are your favorite Gliders at the moment?

I hope to try indoor one day. I have flown on sheltered parks, But my local field has days of Nothing too. And I mean Nothing! No wind, No Roof, No Walls... Anyway a Zero-G does not need to fight a light breeze, it goes with the Flow. I have used Tail winds to get 30m (100') glides I hope you get indoors oneday Bro. Still, Gliders are Sweet outdoors. Am I right? Check out my Zero-G Vid here: http://kitelife.com/forum/topic/5348-zero-g-glide/ -

The P3 will catch wind easily, but still should be very easy to maneuver. What problems did you experience? I have a Mega-Plutz, never flown indoors. Outdoors it is very sweet, awesome glides and turns predictably. It works well on a long line too. Zero-G is great, sweet glides and super easy to control. Let us know how you go with it. WA -

This is a shot of the Stack flying 24 Diamonds and 1 Anchor: Thanks to SparkieRob for the picture and his help launching and landing etc. There was not really enough wind untill we packed it up. So I plan to try again another day. -
It is a Sweet, Sweet Kite. Nice Catch. I hope you have heaps of fun with it. 2 Wrap, 3 Wrap or Race. Try them all if you can. See what works out for you.
