mtgrizzly, Thanks for the Karma drawing but like you I just don't have the wind or time and I really need to get out and fly my rev more. I really wish work would die down and the winds pick up!!! Will -
I made some Storm Force anchors for my FF16 on 250# and my 12' Mayan DDC on 500# line. I will try and get a pic later if needed. Mine are 12" long with 3 10" spikes on the back side of the tie-down and 2 on the tie-down side. The end spikes make an "X" in the ground. I fly on grass soccer and football fields at a local high school so they are well watered grounds. Winds can reach up to 25-30mph. I always bring them down when the FF gets jumpy. I have had one mishap. I placed them about 25yrds apart and while I was flying my Prism 1.4, the wind picked up and before I could get to them the FF crossed the line of the DDC and it's line got cut. It only took ~10sec(if that long) and then I was chasing it across a bean field. The line was melted no fraying at all on either end! I use to use fingerless gloves with a stretch mess on the back until one time it melted a nice thin line on the back of the glove. Full Leather Gloves NOW! Will

I was finally able to get out the last 2 days, temps have been around the 60's so I got out my Prism 1.4 yesterday. Today I put up my Meyer 12' DDC and played around with the rev for about an hour. It was a great day!!! Will

Way to go! Thanks for the drawing Rob! Will -
Thanks Everyone! With out having a kite shop here in Idaho I was just hoping to get in the door and see some new stuff. We are headed to Belvidere on the 29th for my wife's sister birthday and we will have 2 full days there. Not sure what our plans are but if there was a shop in the area(Chicago/Schaumburg/Rockland) I would stop in. We are flying in and out of Madison, WI. Thanks for the advice. PS I really don't mind paying shipping but would really like to talk about kites to someone in person! I have been known to drive 300 miles for free corals. Talk about spendy shipping!

I will be in the Rockford area at the end of the month and was wondering if there is a shop where I can find some Rev items? I am looking to get a new LE. I only have the SLE set for my 1.5. Thanks, Will

Update.... I have been talking with Don at Kites Unlimited but he has been real busy with the kite festival a few weeks back so I hope to get things nailed down soon. I did find a tent pole repair kit that has the same size diameter rod as the upper cross member but it is a little shorter than what I think it should be so I am going to try a stack of 3 or 4 or more and see how it does this weekend. Waiting is not a virtue of mine! Hope to have some wind on Friday or Saturday. Will -

Well I just got back in the house from checking the lines. The line that broke (I was told) actually just came untied from the wrist strap. It is a big piece of nylon cord with an over hand knot. The spectra lines were uneven by almost 12", sleeving is done with 6" of material. I will work on fixing both those tonight. Anyone out there have the measurements of the lower and upper frame rods from their lead kite? I have to make a lower one. Thanks everyone for all the information. Can't wait to get these into the air! Will -

My daughter just dropped them off around noon. I took a few min during lunch to look at them. They look really good. Below are a few questions I have... There are new padded handles included. Is this the best thing to have? One of the tails has been tied on because it tore thru the attachment loop(are those price tag plastic attachment loops suppose to stay on). The lower frame (graphite) on the lead kite is missing. Is there suppose to be one? All the rest of the kites are wooden frame. The graphite seams kind of loose in the plastic holders. They are in a big rubbermaid tote, what does one normally use to store these? Does anyone have or know where to get the instructions for these Hyper Kites 24pm? Thanks for all the replys. Will -

Well I just got off the phone with the guy and he picked these up yrs ago and they have only been flown once and then put away into storage. They are wooden dowels. He also said that one of the strings broke from the handle when he was flying it because it was quite windy so he packed them up and never flew them again. I will be getting them and the wife will shoot me when I pick them up. Will -

I have not seen them in person yet. Is there anything I should be worried about with kites of that age? Will -

John, It is a stack of 24 and I would say wooden from this picture. The guy is asking $50 for them. -
Does anyone know what make of kites these are. I have the chance to pick these up for under $100. About what age do you think they are? Thanks! Will Sorry the pic will not rotate for me. I have tried 3 times.
