I'm going to put together a couple of longer linesets than the 75' I started out with and I wondering whether about 100' would be best to start working on precision figures and into ballet. Dorsal Posted September 4, 2006 Report Share Posted September 4, 2006 In competition, many fliers use 120' lines. They create a huge wind window, you just need to worry about going out of bounds. monkey Posted September 5, 2006 Report Share Posted September 5, 2006 I'm one of those who's "usually" on 120 foot lines, much for what Dorsal suggests, a huuuuge window to work with. Its also the standard for team flying which Im finding myself doing a lot more of lately. But, that being said, I do like 80 foot and foot play as well. Penny Lingenfelter Posted September 6, 2006 Report Share Posted September 6, 2006 $50 lb's scares me. I am way to hard on my quad for 50lb. I'll stick with 80-90 lb. The weight doesn't appear to give it the lag as much as the length does. Of course John isn't known for kicking and dunking his kite every chance he gets.
