Dorsal
First thing, WELCOME Wen! Tips: 1) Get a good training video. Any of the Revolution vids are good, IMHO the " Revolution Advanced Flying" video is the best. 2) Find some friends to fly with. Post where you live or put it in your profile. Kite flyers are friendly people, and would love to come fly with you. 3) Join some of the other Forums and introduce yourself. There's one at Gone With The Wind, another at Kite Connection, another at KiteBuilder Online, and others exist. 4) Practice 4a) Practice some more 5) Smile! This is supposed to be fun, remember? Mousie
OK.. I think I am at the practice , practice some more point... lol.. I actually never thought I would even try it. But seeing Lolly and Monkey and Lilrev out there giving lessons at Long Beach.. I just couldnt resist. Penny got me to actually pick one up... indoors. But I just couldnt run fast enough backwards... *see requirements for LLama's Angels** Adding the wind certainly helped. And I have to admit, its pretty addicting.. Not to mention the people that fly um are pretty nice too*waves at Tater*. Certainly glad I got the opportunity , and the encouragment. I have a long way to go but I am reved up now.. pardon the pun. John Barresi
Wen, you might also take a look at some performances using the Revolution to possibly stimulate your imagination. http://www.kitelife.com/videos/demo/nwskc2004_jb-RevTNT.htm http://www.kitelife.com/videos/demo/wsikf2004_jb-bugs.htm We will try to add more variety over the next year! Rev_itibit
Welcome to the family!! Find some of your favorite music to fly with. That is one of my favorite things to do. I wonder why you are not crashing?!! That tells me you need to venture and try and make the kite do some fancy stuff. Like, lead all moves in reverse for for awhile. Stir things up. Crashing is part of learning to master the kite. Push it to it's limits. Practice, practice and then more, practice. Become a mentor. Thumbs amd wrists. John Barresi
Also, the Rev EXP is VERY durable... So it will take some beatings.

Penny Lingenfelter
I guess it seems like a big world when you are young. When friends move to the next town they have "moved away". That will change When you get older even the next state may not seem so far away. Remember that kite saying, "One Sky, One world" BB Penny

hvkmike
Hi Wen Too bad you don't have a vhs player to view your tape.Hopefully the links everyone supplied will help you...but if you want a copy of the tape you have,I suggest taking it to a video/camera/or electronics store to see if it can be converted to DVD or CD. That way you have the full version to view at anytime. No vhs.......hmmmm......I like my old beta machine...even though it takes two people to lift it.Still...it fits nicely on the shelf between my record & 8-track players. I Live in Canada.......Canada isn't far......just far out! Later Good Winds Mike

johnnmitchell
You might ask the shop where you bought your REV for a CD. I know Kite Country in San Diego has them. John
