John Barresi
Yes folks, someone has released a Wind Meter app for the iPhone! http://goingapps.com/default.aspx Interesting, it calculates the wind based on sound readings from the microphone. Seems fairly accurate in fairly steady wind, but suffers in gustier conditions or when there is a lot of ambient noise.
Baloo
WOW, you will be able to use the internet and play songs on it next So not only have I recently bought the wrong phone, now if I had bought the right one I wouldnt have needed to buy a wind meter. Or MP3 playa.

wen
Probably not "as is" i think a add-on mic should work though
pond44
I think the iPod has a record function, therefore it should have a mic and be able to hear wind. Sorry if I'm wrong. (the wife says I am all the time).
