R Moore Posted April 13, 2009 Report Posted April 13, 2009 We took over 100 images from ground to 2,000 ft above our launch site for the world altitude record atttempts a few days ago. The camera is a cheap budget digital fixed to the bridle of a 6 meter Dunton/Taylor Conyne Delta. Note the 3 meter yellow/red delta which is at 500 ft above ground level. The camp site and launch point is bottom center. Bob Moore Quote

R Moore Posted April 14, 2009 Author Report Posted April 14, 2009 How high did you go? Did you get the record? 9,107 ft above ground level. The day I did some aerial photography the cloud base was 2,200 ft and the wind started to die 2,000. The record is 13,609 ft. We flew 10,466 ft in 2007. I'll try again next year. Bob Moore Quote
R Moore Posted April 14, 2009 Author Report Posted April 14, 2009 sweet shot at 2000 feet now lets see 3000 feet .. Perhaps next year I will take some higher shots. Maybe at 18,000 ft if we have the winds. The equipment is up to it. Bob Quote
Kyle Posted May 21, 2009 Report Posted May 21, 2009 Wow this is amazing, I wanted to get into Aerial photography with RC helicopters. I never thought about doing it with a kite. Very cool thanks for sharing! Quote
