imranipatel
I started flying rev 2 this weekend on #90 * 90 ft line with 13 inch handle. Kite launched fine stays up in the air for few minutes at best and then start going/shifting to right and falls downs as it goes out of wind window. any thoughts what might be going wrong? Reved
I just got a B2 the other day and I thought the 90# lines were weighing it down. So I changed to 50# and I felt I had much more control of the little guy. I noticed if I got too far off to one side of the wind window in the beginning, it would just dive down like a knife. Keep at it.
makatakam
Check the lines to make sure they are all equal. Keep flying, you'll get the control with practice.
mystainedskin
I agree with the equalization of lines , leaders, and bridle check. The 50# is a great suggestion..I fly on both weights with the b2 and rev2...but 50# definitely will help. Also your skill level? I found in the beginning, the 9" handles to be much more foregiving...that's what it came with. That sail requires a good wind to fly powered..otherwise it will be a challenge. Reef Runner
I fly the Rev II / B2's almost exclusively, now-a-days. I do fly mainly, in good steady coastal winds, and usually fly the mid-vent or the full-vent B2's. I too, use both 50# and 90# lines, both 100 & 120 ft, all depending on the winds. I agree with the previous suggestions about checking your line equalization. Something is causing your kite to go down to the right side, as you described, and I would bet it is your lines. Also, I know that when I began flying the smaller Revs, I found the 13" handles to be a bit much (causing over input). My original Rev II came with 11" handles, so I switched to them, until I got a good feel for the fast little kites. Now I fly the Rev II and B2's with 13" handles, or 11", whichever happens to be handy at the time. Still, there's nothing more important, than to have those lines equalized. Without that, you'll never figure it out.............good luck ! "My Sweet Suite"
hyzakite
I think you need to share more info so we can most likely tell you what is wrong, a picture is usually worth 1000 words, rods go on the back of the kite, the tube on the right side is full of packed sand weighing down that side of the kite, my guess is that on this classic rev2, your bridle has loops where you connect your lines with swivel clips and you probably should modify your bridle so it uses pigtails, but this is all guessing without more input from you. imranipatel
It is a line equalizing issue. I notice that one the bottom line is slightly longer. Hope to equalize the line soon and give it a try. Thanks for your feedback.
