  3. Ah, one other thought... There is also a difference in demand, in knowledge and terminology between recreational pilots and “hard core end users”... Its the latter that Rev has experienced a break in communication and understanding with, they do what they do very well, they just don’t have time, interest or whatever to learn what they need to know to service the high end users. And that’s ok. 👍🏻
  4. Or it’s just a recurring sentiment with some customers, no real fancier way to say the same thing. I also don’t care for drama, but I will not stand quietly when the community itself is being disserviced in any way. ✌️ There are lots of dramatic things that happen behind the scenes, or more often, that most people simply never become aware of (recreational user), and it’s all mostly irrelevant - as I said, whatever gets you to a grin in the sky. 😎

  7. I think the difference as I feel it is that Rev wants you to keep using their product, that’s the end game of Club 38... Honestly, I know that most fliers end up with multiple brand in their bags eventually, my end game is the experience and fortification of the end user regardless of what they’re flying. Its a natural difference though - I’m 24/7 kite from business to family, friends to romance, sport and hobby, it’s all-encompassing for me so my focus is the community at large... The folks at Rev just aren’t “day in day out” fliers, they don’t fly regularly and their depth of terminology / skill reflects that - compounded by the fact they haven’t endevoured to go out and learn what their buyers know. I think partly for that reason, their focus is now on the entry / intermediate level, and they’re very good at it. 👍🏻 But, you also won’t find many (if any) of the world’s true known “quad aces” flying a currently made Rev product - it will be some other brand, probably made by someone who spends the time to know why differences are important. All that being said - I’m with Riff, it’s all good, whatever gets you there... The more you know, the more perspectives, the more styles and tastes you can sink your teeth into, the more you’ll know who YOU are as a flier irrespective of everything else. ✊ All IMHO, only worth the wind it blows on. ✌️

  16. XT is good over 15, the HV is a slug until around 23-24 but it really comes into it’s own in that range... All Djinn overlap by roughly 6 mph or more between each ascending model. In fact, at about 14, we could probably fly the ST through XT in a team - ST heavily loaded, XT a hair on the soft side. Overlap was also really important to me, after YEARS of having to regularly change both kite and frame for conditions when I flew B’s and other 1.5 type kite’s, but I haven’t changed a frame at all on the Djinns (except to experiment), and don’t change kites nearly as often, especially with the ability to open the Sync Bridle adjustment in higher winds.
  17. “Gutless” is word I never wanted applied to one of my kites in its ideal wind range. 👍🏻
  18. Comparable wind ranges to say, the old B Pro XTRA and the Phoenix Mega... Due to the bridle however, the explosive (volatile) range of power doesn’t take over like on a traditional bridle, making high wind flying even smoother. The other aspect, and it’s just my opinion, is that most of the extra and mega type vent kites in the world lose a lot performance as it goes up in venting, I worked really hard to keep a comparable handling across all 5 models in their respective wind ranges.

  22. Duplicate topics merged into this one, preceding replies may be slightly disjointed but all is clear. ✌️
  23. Not a worry, I’m glad it’s all sorted - holler if you have any other questions. 👍🏻
  24. Good one Mark. Also, are you waiting long enough after clicking download? It could take quite a while if you’re in a slow connection. Are you trying on phone, tablet or computer? Whatever you used, have you tried any of the others?
  25. Hi Martin, I empathize with your situation but I cannot replicate the problem... The system is working, downloads work when logged in. Have you confirmed that you’re logged in when you try to download? Have you tried multiple sizes of the same video? (HD, iPad, mobile) Do you have to click download twice? You should, once on the tutorial page and once again when the box pops up. I really want to help, but I’m not getting any technical info out of this so far that I can troubleshoot with.
