  1. Recently I was testing the limitations of 16mph winds and a standard 1.5, While learning inverted hovers in high wind, I can honestly say I need to learn how to give to the kite a little better versus driving her into the ground. Slight time lapses while trying to remember push, pull, or push and pull, or pull and push... Up is down and down is up... Also remember to change the rails in higher winds to something other than two's. Broken vertical and feeling defeated I remembered my new kite coming and felt all warm inside! Thanks RNG Sent from my iPhone using KiteLife mobile app
  2. "1" is my number and the loneliest, along with the smallest, odd, whole number... Sent from my iPhone using KiteLife mobile app
  3. LOL vertical rail. I had a high wind experience and was setup for light winds. Crash and burned. Broke into 4 pieces so I figured I drove it in well[emoji30] Sent from my iPhone using KiteLife mobile app
  4. $40, I need a spreader I just broke but might as well have spares. Sent from my iPhone using KiteLife mobile app
  5. I wound up getting a Bazzer eyes covering mid vent so I am looking for full vent now. Sorry for not getting back sooner.
  6. Well, unable to post photo of granddaughter holding the winning name but have if for verification if wanted... Congratulations to: zachprism01 !!! Please message me your email address and I will get it in the mail to you. Thanks everyone for playing! Sent from my iPhone using KiteLife mobile app
  7. Drawing is completed, working through a posting detail and will have results to y'all soon. Are you nervous? Sent from my iPhone using KiteLife mobile app
  8. FYI - Going to do drawing with granddaughter at 5 pm EST on the 12th. Thanks, Mike Sent from my iPhone using KiteLife mobile app
  9. I don't see how it would be possible to hang onto a stack of these critters, I'd be dizzy!
  10. From Stooges FB page, I found a reference to Burnum that stated Dewey Burnum & Howe was onscreen but poster and media was Cheatum!
  11. Up for grabs is a Yellow Prism Micron Dual Line Stunt Kite, this kite is only slightly used with maybe 30 total minutes of flight time. Fast little mosquito of a kite! My granddaughter has agreed to draw from my hat to choose the winner. Attourneys from the firm of "Dewey Cheatem & Howe" will not be present or viewing the drawing. (Guesses on the firm history may be included in your response but will not increase your chance of winning at all) We will select the winner on May 12, 2016. Folded slips of paper with submitted names will be mixed and one name chosen. Names will be verified with KL staff before drawing. Enter with an "I'm in" reply per the usual procedure. Add your firm guess if you recognize them. Have fun ! Good luck everyone! Standard Karma Note from the Moderators This is a Karma Drawing. The winner of the drawing is expected to pay it forward by offering their own prize for the next drawing. Please do not enter unless you are willing to offer your own prize, preferably not the prize you just won. Drawings should be open for entry approximately 2 weeks, and the next drawing should be posted as soon as possible to keep the Karma rolling. These drawings are run by and for KiteLife forum members and DO NOT require a paid subscription to enter. The moderating team only ensures that your drawing post contains all of the pertinent information (drawing date/time, adequate prize description, drawing rules) before approval. If you are a KiteLife forum member from the US or Canada, you are eligible to enter. You do not have to be a paid subscriber. Members from Canada, Alaska, and Hawaii are welcome to enter the Karma drawings provided they are willing to pay half of the Karma prize shipping cost. The method and timing of the payment will be agreed upon between the two parties after the drawing for a particular prize. Here is the link to the original Rules and Guidelines thread: http://kitelife.com/forum/topic/5426-rules-and-guidelines-please-read/ The mechanism for the drawing itself is entirely at the discretion of the person offering the prize. In the past, entry number has been determined either by order of entry or by the post number in which the member declares entry into the drawing. The drawings have been performed using the RNG method (http://www.random.org/sequences/) or by choosing the numbers out of a hat (I believe an adorable daughter did the picking in that scenario). The only requirement is that the method of selection is clearly spelled out in the drawing post. Entry into the drawings is done by STARTING a post in the drawing thread with the entry phrase chosen by the drawing host (Traditionally "I'm in", but "I LIKE" has been used as well). In order to remove any confusion or misinterpretation, only entries with posts that START with the phrase will be considered. As with all other KiteLife drawings, bantering is encouraged. This is for fun after all.
  12. Thanks to all, I have a item for the next drawing in mind, a mosquito by any other name!
  13. Thanks Mak! I have evened lines but matched top and bottom from the video. Just thought the difference was normal as that's how the line set came. Like you described, next time I tune I will try all of them even. The more I fly the better it is. I am just trying to get that hover and spin ten feet off the ground with control and maybe the slack is making it more challenging.
  14. Our thirty seventh wedding anniversary is May 26th. What a great time it would be to have a new rev to play with! How many other folks understand out there? Yes, my wife dared me to post this... Springtime and love is in the air. Love you honey, sweetums, sugarplum - Sent from my iPhone using KiteLife mobile app
  15. Amazing, mine probably have 4 inches of bottom slack compared to top. I added TK leaders and tuned to a near neutral point. Looks like another adjustment to make. I assume four equal lines make very fine flying (handle) corrections. Sent from my iPhone using KiteLife mobile app
  16. I just watched the video again and did not come out with all four lines to be the same length but that is mentioned as optimal above versus longer bottom lines. Correct or just flyer preference? Sent from my iPhone using KiteLife mobile app
  17. My momma loves me the most so I should win [emoji3] Sent from my iPhone using KiteLife mobile app
  18. Wow, I find all the love enriching so - there are so many people commenting and flying my kite in their 1975 dreams I thought I might wake you all up and let you congratulate me on a successful bid for this rev and for all that she stands for, winning! Help me keep my sails full and PLEASE choose me ☮ ❤️ 😀 Peace, Love & Happiness
  19. Received the leaders I ordered and after a couple hours tuning and flying in variable winds I was able to find neutral and essentially change from a braking to a leading edge flyer. Took me a while but newbie enough that time spent in the air and the feel of what all you described in videos made sense and seems to be easier with leading edge. Definitely easier to stall in lots of window locations and developed lateral leading edge up flight (on purpose anyway) which looks so cool. Thanks to TK also for her beautiful leaders ! So glad I got them. In a few hours I climbed in skill and smile more - still make lots of shameful walks to unwind and reset but now walking back I am thinking of how to correct versus just how to cuss at a higher level. Love to learn new stuff and this is so frustrating and fun at the same time! Thanks again for the help! Loving it Sent from my iPhone using KiteLife mobile app
  20. Love to have vented rev as a second kite! Please pick me [emoji1280] Sent from my iPhone using KiteLife mobile app
  21. I'm in, another nice kite, thanks!
  22. It would take me a step up from foils and be a great addition to my collection so far!
  23. Found it Wayne, thanks! Let's do it hyzakite, best way to proceed?
  24. Great, any chance of a pic? I can't visualize the color combo, thanks you!
