  1. And by sheer coincidence, the negative image for BLACK T-Shirts is Skybond Yellow..
  2. OK, Mountain Moved I'm not sure 10% smaller on the TKL is all that noticeable. I spaced it out a bit (also for readability) Version B Version C
  3. Will the AI file do?? If you want just the Ring Vector layer let me know since you have the original base drawing already saved.. TKLJB5.ai
  4. I can't seem to get the font inverted for the bottom two without breaking the curve but Here is the all caps version also a version without the bottom two..
  5. Went for 5.. was exactly twice the font size and 4 iterations looked a little clock-ish to me..lost a bit of the circular feel.. Do you have a preferred font??
  6. I can be the circle if you like.. I tend to use an old (Pre-Corel) version of Paint Shop Pro. I have the Adobe suite as well but I'm not nearly as practiced with it..
  7. Second Panel mockup is masked out..Ignore the orange tape of course, but wanted to show the two stripe patterns I went with for the back. Predominately Red & White with a central Blue for continuity.. Time for the machine now..
  8. OK I think I've got one panel where I want it to be.. (at least I masked it in this time so....)
  9. Great point!! I'm thinking the same thing now. I might do a stripe or two of Blue on one side only with the same intent in mind, I typically don't basket weave the transition tails since they have a good side and a bad side. I do basket weave a lot when using the single color (skywriter) tails. I thought about weaving in a pattern on a previous venture and it was pretty frustrating. Was going to make it say RIFF but proved a bit daunting. Agreed the back white material is less "bright" but it's the only white tails I have.. Keep in mind my ventures are all what can be done with tails as the base fabric. It does make for heavier sail but I like the random personality it gives to the kites,, Thanks for the suggestions, Will continue to try and get that right balance for this.. That's also why nothing is taped or sewn yet. This one will be a double build so I can mate the halves easier without having to flip the fabric.. I'll just cut the opposite diagonal and swap a half from each panel. End result will be 2 similar kites.. 1.5 size is the current plan..
  10. I didn't space it out evenly but wanted to show what the backside looks like (generally) I just might need to break up the white with some solid Red and Blue..
  11. This didn't go as expected.. I'll still do something with the fabric but this one will be on hold for a while..Was planning to do a progressive stack with full sail in the back but the material didn't line up the way I wanted.. Will table this project pending more inspiration..Meanwhile on to a similar mesh build again with Transition tails..
  12. So my RWB plans for the 5" wide tails didn't go as planned.. While I'm trying to figure out what to do with the material, I've mocked up a new RWB Transition Mesh.. I know I said I thought I was done with the transitions but the apparent randomness of the finished product has a look I can't duplicate easily without them.. Inital mockup only.. Not even tape yet just a quick layout to decide if this is what I want or do I want a darker back to the kite with Red and Blue Strips instead of all white.. From the back right now this kite will be all white with specks of Red and blue unless it's front-lit in which case the Red and blue would show through better..
  13. Chat seems to not be working for some reason.. Anyone else experiencing same??
  14. There is IKE.. We have a few Illinois Kite Enthusiasts member here,, I'm sure they will speak up shortly..
  15. If you are in an area with fellow KiteLife members, suggest you try the OPK brands first.. (OPK is kite talk for Other People's Kites) There is probably someone close to you. A group will be flying and will gladly let you try before you buy. We are generally a friendly bunch and once you've tried a few different options you can make a fairly unbiased decision on what works best for you.. Warning though, one size does NOT fit all.. See who's nearby. http://kitelife.com/forum/membermap/
  16. @bbailey49 I captured a still frame out of their video SPI 2017 Body Work.. Here's a shot pretty close to my original capture frame. The original capture is the second picture which was edited to get the truck out of the background.. BTW, it's also the same shot for the other logos I did as well..
  17. The duplicates have been removed.. It happens sometimes..
  18. That makes good sense.. Maybe it's also that they use different platforms (Duals, Quads, indoor etc..)
