  1. Check out JB's line Equalizing Video.. It is a great start and a life long lesson in line maintenance.. Sent you the link..
  2. Based on a similar experience with a different sail. It depends on how the dye/ink is impregnated into the material. . I know the Freilein Vertigo kites exhibit the same type of marks as well.. IT hasn't detracted from the kite structure that I can tell. I'd suggest if you want to prevent it all together, place a towel (or other thick cloth) on your kite's fold points when folding to keep it from creasing at all.. The marks won't appear if there isn't an actual crease to create it.. Unfortunately, this approach also means using a larger bag for the kite since it won't be nearly as compact. For a kite you truly care about, it may be your best option to protect an irreplaceable sail..
  3. I guess I'm also slightly cheaper in person..I'm sure the facade kind of breaks down on close inspection.
  4. So I've started gathering my things for this trip.. So far I have: lots of kites, lines and accessories 2 boxes of lights for kites 10x10 Canopy for shade laptop and cameras Smaller Umbrella style Canopy if the 10'x10' is too much an open mind and an unreal eagerness to fly. sleep optional... there will also be a few other items will also be making the trip to keep my promises.. Trying to decide on the Bolero Stack and what Power Kites to bring for after hours and Night Flight.. Hey @John Barresi please bring 1 red, 1 white, 1 gray and 1 black of your 1.5 replacement bridles with you.. I'll pay cash on the spot. What's latest from @Bill Clay? any update?? I realize it still a week out but the forecast has been improving as we get closer.. Forecast Captured from weather dot com
  5. I like the everything out of tails approach for now.. When the wind gets that low, I pack up and watch you fly..
  6. I do have kites I'd be willing to fly in conditions I wouldn't otherwise go out in.. But then I'm more worried about me than the kites..
  7. So this one will probably be a full sail and is made from the G-Kites 5" wide transition tails.. These are MUCH more consistent and will give me an entirely different look from the smaller ones..
  8. It will also make me do something I said I thought I wouldn't do because I said i was done with transition tails.. but it's not what you think!!!
  9. A few hints. This one isn't a Mesh (at least I don' t think it will be..I MAY change my mind here) It's red white and blue!!! It won't be alone (think STACK) Will make 4 kites. It's in keeping with my regular kite making style.. Initial layout will be posted in about 30 minutes or so..As always subject to change but I've already done SOME cutting so it won't change too much Not sure if I'll try to finish these before the clinic or not but who knows??
  10. @esinger Your Symphony 2.2.4 is bridled and ready for testing.
  11. Then if you win, I have a Mesh you want that I'll trade you for it.. (because I need the 4 wrap frame)
  12. So you're saying, it's not how high you fly it, it's how you fly it high... HMMMMMMM lol
  13. I've had a few strange looks lately when I told someone, "No, I'm not flying a kite, I'm flying Kite Tails." Granted, this is a segway into talking about my kite builds but it kinda works for me.. People seem to be amazed that a mesh flies with "all those holes" Questions about the Buggy, "Where are the Handlebars??" On the demo field, people just don't seem to understand, how badly kite lines can cut ankles. "it's just string" Another common question when flying the quad, lines, is "How high can you fly it??"
  14. After putting it in the air on a Kite, I have to agree that it doesn't respond well to movement but as a head or static mounted camera, it does pretty well..
  15. Thanks, 10-15mph seems to suit it pretty well.. As for the selfie, that was kind of the point.

  18. Good Breeze today . Mesh #4 flew a bit differently than I expected.. Still was easily controlled but the sail loaded differently than what I was expecting.. No Audio in this video.. Just a shot clip to show it flies..
  19. You are also welcome to fly just about anything in my bag, BUT we've met before so, hopefully you knew that already.
