  1. Well, now that you brought this up again, I use a very rigid (2"dia) cardboard mailing tube, with the white plastic plugs, that fit tightly into each end. I keep the frame (sets) pieces, in their respective plastic bags, but I slide them all down into the mailing tube, just for a bit more protection. Both ends of the mailing tube have a foam insert, to protect the ends of the frame pieces. I keep one end of the tube sealed with mailing tape, so only one end (the top) can be opened. Works for me........... Yeah, probably overkill, but what can I say !
  2. Thanks John.........I don't blame you a bit........appreciate you looking into it for us And another good question for the developer is, "why did this start happening, all of a sudden"?
  3. Still got to admit (from a layman's standpoint), it looks mighty strange, that all the websites that are maintaining our log-ins, are preceded with the www, yet the one that is giving us trouble, is not. I trust what you say John, because again, I'm just a novice, on the outside, looking in, but is it a big deal, to try it with the www, on all the kitelife.com sites ? Again, I don't know the difference, with or without the www, so again, I'm just grasping at straws. It does, however, seem that Tom is having the exact same problem as I am, and also with Windows 7 & Firefox Just asking.......
  4. Okay, while John is working diligently, on this problem, I must sign off for the evening. I'll just hope for good news, TOMORROW ! Thank you John, but don't deprive yourself of any sleep, over this matter (bigger fish to fry, I'm sure )............
  5. Thanks John...........sure will make things easier
  6. I'm wondering if that was the wrong way to go, because it did NOT work for me. The website still refuses to maintain my log-in. The websites that are working for me (maintaining my log-ins), have the www preceeding the name of the website, such as http://www.revkites.com/forum/index.php?app=core&module=search&do=active Could you try putting the www in front of everything, concerning kitelife.com, and lets try that ? Hey, I'm just grasping at straws John, and I'm surely no programer. This stuff is way above my head , but I just keep plugging............. Thanks for trying
  7. Hey Karen, Still sounds like a lot of begging, coming from over your way ! Don't worry, once I win this beauty, I'll give you first shot at it !
  8. Hey Joel, We're still pulling for you to pull this off. Just wanted you to know that we appreciate your work, and wish you success going forward. Keep us filled in on "how it's going"..........
  9. Man, this constant signing-in is really becoming annoying............. I come here to Kitelife.com, more than any other website, and it's really giving my fingers a workout !
  10. Happy 2014, to all Kitelife members, and all Kitelife "want to be" members (just join). Oh, and John......thanks for making it all possible !
  11. Maybe, over (?) Just kidding John.......but something is going on, a bit strange. Do you have those problems on the Rev forum ? I'm good there !
  12. For sure, and I am really perplexed at this point ! I likewise continue to be logged off from Kitelife, every single time I close my browser. This is not happening on any other website. I stay logged on, until I log off. I am running the very latest, updated version of Mozilla FireFox (26), on Windows 7 Pro, which likewise is completely up to date. Glad I don't have much hair to pull out.
  13. Well I got a couple on you all three of you, so be kind
  14. Likewise. But JB is correct. I do believe that IE11 has some issues. Once I switched to Firefox, all my problems (except "getting logged off"), were eliminated......... Happy New Year everyone..............it's almost here ! :big_beer:
  15. I'm just so glad to be back up and running, I really hate to complain about anything............
  16. Hey, don't lose any sleep over it. Like I said, it's not a show stopper, just a minor inconvenience. Happy New Year ! (now get back to work) Just kidding, just kidding.......... Oh, and thanks for a wonderful 2013. I'm sure 2014 will be stellar, as well........
  17. Yeah, yeah, just getting a bit lazy in my old age, I suppose. You know how it is when you get used to doing something one way, and all of a sudden, it doesn't work for you any more. I told JB that this definitely wasn't a show-stopper for me, just an annoyance. I'm sure it won't be a problem, just strange that it only happens here............... Hope you had a nice Christmas...............Happy New Year - to you and to everyone else...........
  18. Hi John, I am now using FireFox v26. As I mentioned above, I seemed to have ironed out most of the other problems I was experiencing, simply by switching from IE11, to Mozilla Firefox v26. (?) I had assumed that since my new computer came loaded with the newest version of IE11, it would suffice, but obviously not. Anyway, I have eliminated that variable now............. Now, the only problem that I am continuing to have with www.kitelife.com, is that I have to "Sign-In", every time I close and re-open my browser, and this is happening with Firefox 26 (latest version). This problem IS NOT happening with the Rev forum, nor with any of the other websites/forums, where I save usernames & passwords. It is only happening on the Kitelife.com website (?) On other websites, my username and password remains in place, and I remain signed in, until I sign out. I've tested this over and over, and without fail, Kitelife is the only site, making me sign-in every time........... Just to make sure, last night, I shut down my computer completely (turned it off), but only after signing into ten+ different websites - Kitelife.com and Revkites.com, included. This morning, I booted up (turned it on), and started checking. I was still signed into every single website, except Kitelife.com. Again, every time my browser is closed, I have to sign-in, all over again, just like I've never been there (?). I don't know what else to check. Happy New Year !
  19. Ok, I don't know exactly what is going on here, but I seemed to have ironed out some of the problems by switching from IE11, to Mozilla Firefox v26. (?) As evidenced immediately above, I can now "Quote", and without trying, I'll assume that I can also "MultiQuote". And, I can now also "Copy & Paste" >>> the text in brackets, is copied & pasted from the "Quoted" text above [Surely someone else has experienced this, or similar problems, using Windows 7 Pro ? This can't just be my computer ?] Now, the only problem that I am continuing to have with www.kitelife.com is that I have to "Sign In", every time that I close, and re-open my browser, and this is happening when using both Internet Explorer 11, and also with Firefox 26. This problem IS NOT happening with the Rev forum, nor with any of the other websites/forums, where I save usernames & passwords. On other websites, my username and password remains in place, and I remain signed in, until I sign out. I've tested this over and over, but it seems that some other forum members are having similar problems, so maybe JB can eventually get to the bottom of this............ Happy New Year JB..............hope you can help! Any suggestions would surely be appreciated..............nick
  20. Been kinda busy during the holidays and now its crappy weather. Suppose to rain all day tomorrow, so I suppose I'll just work on this $%&@# computer. How about down your way...........? Catch you later............gotta hit the hay !
  21. Ok, I typed in the address www.kitelife.com, and I signed in, then went to the forum page, and then to the "view new content". When I got there, I saved the page as a favorite, or bookmark, as I have always done. Then I closed the browser, and when I reopened it, I was once again asked to sign in. This isn't happening on other forums (except Rev) that I am on, or on other websites. Once I've signed on, I can shut down completely, and when I bring it back up, I'm still signed on ??? Surely someone else has experienced this, or similar problems, using Windows 7 Pro ? This can't just be my computer ?
  22. Also having other problems.............simple "CUT / COPY / PASTE" functions will not work on Kitelife either............... Something is going on strange, because I am having identical problems, over on the Rev forum............ I have checked multiple other websites, and I DO NOT have the problems that I am encountering here, plus I stay signed in, even after shutting down completely..........?? Anybody got any clues................? I'm using Windows 7 Pro (64) and Internet Explorer 11 (latest version)....................I'm lost !
  23. Well, my "Quote" / "MultiQuote" functions aren't working either. The remember me box is checked. I don't know what the cookie retention settings should be ? The browser is not "In Private" ? SR.....Not sure what this means "point at which shortcut is from" I'm having a lot of problems it seems, but especially here on the forum..............
