  1. Well, you guys will always be welcome here. I even got a "Maple" tree in my yard
  2. That was Scott ! I wasn't referring to his last post, just your general return to KiteLife, and us getting to see you around here more often. Ok, my mistake.............much appreciated. I missed being here........
  3. And the info starts flowing - check.....
  4. Tell me about it. I had a particular style of Carhartt jeans, that I've bought and worn for years, and as you say, NO MORE, and the ones that took their place, NO WHERE CLOSE :ani_wallbash: BTW, the "565", is the number of threads/inch, running the long way, in the denim fabric. Try places that sell "work" clothes. Unless the 565's have been discontinued completely, you'll have a better chance of finding them there, than in the "trendy" shops, that cater to the young and "skinny". If that fails, try some of the "Western" stores. Normally, they will carry the, more traditional stuff. Then, if all that fails, there's always eBay. Lot's of them there, if you can find the right size..........good luck
  5. Yes, THINK Summer !!!
  6. I don't have one of those kites, so I don't know for sure, but, just check along the trailing edge of the sail, closely, and look for a small loop, that may, or may not be there (?). If so, it should be sewn, either in the middle, or one on each back corner, or possibly, in all three places. If so, just hook your tail to the loop, either with a swivel, or just tie it on, using a pigtail, and a lark's head knot. If there is not loop on your kite, and once you have become a bit more familiar with the kite, you can have someone sew a loop on the trailing edge, for you. I would also ask the local kite shop about it - the place you bought it. He may just fix you up.............. Good Luck...........
  7. Hey Captainbob, Welcome to Kitelife. You got questions, we got answers. You got concerns, we'll be concerned with you. You want to fly - now you are talking....... All kidding aside, there's a world of information here. Really, just ask, and you'll get lot's of feedback..... We fly all kinds of kites - SLK's, DLK's, & QLK's, so just ask.......... Good luck with the HQ Symphony 1.8, but it's only going to get you in trouble (more kites)
  8. Yep, sounds like you need a machine of some sort, yourself !
  9. I can't seem to find that either, Bart. If you find a link, that we can understand, let me know............ Hmmm, I do see that these are a little large, for my liking..........16" is a pretty large sticker (I would like to see a 2" to 3" kitelife sticker)
  10. Well, we would welcome you, should you choose to move south.............
  11. Ok folks.........we are designating Wednesday Nights, as "Official Kitelife Chat Night". We reached a new record last week, with 9 participants at one time. That's great. We want to top that, so please join in. It's tough getting the East Coast & the West Coast members together, all at the same time, but let's just "DO IT"............. East Coast - shoot for 9 - 11 PM West Coast - shoot for 6 - 8 PM Down Under - shoot for whenever (10am-12pm Tomorrow for Oz West coast) OR, Any time you can jump in there. We've had a lot more chatter, over the last week or so, so we just threw out a night, that might work for most.........please join us, if you can !!
  12. Zero, Where the heck are you from. I think you are going to fit in well, here on Kitelife............. ps...........Oh, and come join in on the "CHAT", at night. At the top of the page, click on "MORE", and then click on chat. Then you got to promise to be "NICE", and then you can enter the "Kitelife Chat Room"............. We'll be waiting on you.............
  13. You're in automatically. Go to the topic "membership numbers", and ask John. He'll let you know your number. Doesn't matter though, you're in, whether you know your number or not...........
  14. Do a member search. Use the special filters. Put Canada in the Location box and search. There are two pages of "Maple Leafs" listed. Don't know how active they are, though........
  15. Oh, "I'm in"..........
  16. Yeah, and speaking of Carl Robertshaw, I've got an old Carl Robertshaw designed, "Flexifoil Orbit 160" (in excellent condition), that I was planning on throwing into the Karma pool, if I was to ever win. Great old school "dualie"........probably not much for tricking, but kind of a neat kite to have in the bag, especially for teaching a "newbie" to fly - "tough as nails"..........
  17. Good Luck.................just messing with you !
  18. Just ribbing...........just ribbing
  19. Well, I just had to show this one off...........
  20. Oh what a tangled web we weave, when we ................................... Shameful, shameful...............
  21. I'm concerned. I thought we were friends ?
  22. I don't know how he can move around so much, and the rev just remains "stitched", at 1 o'clock, 5 o'clock, 8 o'clock. Just pick one, and he'll stick it there......
  23. And some things, just work out !
