I have taken the next step along the road of dual lines and upgraded form the Prism Nexus to the Silver Fox Pro 2.3. It's good to try a trick and it some what come off. I just need more practice and maybe a lesson off JB if he ever come to Australia. My question is in the attached photo what is the line between the upper out-hauls and the in-hauls and what is it used for? As i move the the bridle around it doesn't seem to get tension on that line. I been looking at this site about bridles but it's got me beat.

Hi and welcome. look at the tutorials at kiteVids.com and prism stunt kite maneuvers has good animations. I'm currently flying a Prism Nexus, its the same size as your. These smaller kites are harder to do tricks on but not impossible. I can do a snap stall, axle, back flip and Fade, but they don't look pretty and they do not always work. Look at this post about the trickability of different kites (thanks JoeZ). It has kept my spirits up as I learn, and I look forward to getting the next kite( when I finish painting the house so the "better half" has said ). Fly it, crash it, fly it again and just have fun doing it.

the dog is deaf and mostly blind. It the 3 year old on the tramp that is the real worry.

getting more time on the 4D today. While minding a sleeping Child got into back yard with it. there only enough room to get into the air, practice an axle and land on 20 foot lines, good fun anyway. shorten the lines to 5 foot and I can whip it around 360 but there is a patio and trampoline ready to pluck it out of the sky if I get it wrong, and I did (no damage to the kite ) Had another go when the wife got home from shopping and was kind enough to take a photo

Typical winter's day in Brisbane, 19C (66F) wind 10 knots gusting to 20 knots. Started the day with a play with the 4D in the still of the morning while my Daughter was at swim training. It's the longest time I have had with it 0 wind and very happy with some 360's and up and over's. Tried some more tricks but the skill ran out. In the Afternoon went to Pelican Park, tried some Big boy tricks on a small boy's kite (Prism Nexus) Not good wind, so strapped some streamer on and just had fun.

I got a 4d and a nexus and with the westerly winds in Brisbane this time of year it gust for a minute than dies for five minute. The Nexus would fly great for the minute but than I would run out park trying to keep it up. The 4D was a great buy. On these day I just park it at the edge during the gust and than have fun the rest of the time. I'm not good at tricks yet but I can see with a better pilot they would get it moving. I have tried it once in doors and want more. It so compact I keep both in the work van ready for when I have time for a fly. Mick

yes 6 years on and a HD camera in halve the size that i had, and with out the receiver, recorder, power supply, aerial needing to be setup on the ground to record it all. Got to love progress.

Hi all, This is my first post so I thought I would link to some videos I took back in 2005. Its on board camera mounted on a cheap stunt kite. The camera is a pin hole type mounted on a pole from the nose. the transmitter and battery are cable tie to the spine. PS: look for the crash in the first one it not clear but it there.
