Trimming out the trailing edge of the sail is easier with the pinky and ring fingertips. That way the "reverse" motion can also be made with a squeeze of the hand, rather than mostly thru the wrist. I keep a light grip with my thumb, pointer and middle fingers so the handle acts as a lever, with the pivot point resting mainly on my thumb and pointer finger. You can also see my right hand with a solid grip on the handle! Both grips are just tools in the toolbox, I will modify my grip thru squeezes, arm movements, wrist adjustments including twisting my wrists so I can operate the handles horizontally, and even changing the pivot point momentarily by raising the line with my pointer finger. Hello! I am posting an old video of mine, per John B's request (thanks man! 🙏). Las Vegas, NV is a very special place to fly kites of all kinds. I miss flying (and living) there, partly because of parks like the one featured in this video. I was "shoo-ed" away by park security from flying near the butterfly and flower fixtures due to their canvas sails.. In the end I received special permission from the city to make this video. Knew about the RC planes.. Learned that kites were a no no in San Diego while trying to fly at Coronado beach. The Navy Seals train there, and have an airfield at the end of the island. While I wasn't arrested, I was shut down and warned very quickly. Very.

"lame loops" They're just "quad roll bars"... Dual kites have had them for a while. I love them on my Temptations...Yeah, I know. Seen them on dualies like you described. Still looks heavier than magic sticks to me! Now I'm wondering if they can be removed from the ABS without affecting the performance...Wish my fire emoji would show

Wearing out LPG might have to do with beach flying.. my 120s are 2.5 years old now, and still look fairly new. I have been to the beach only twice on these lines, oh and Antelope Island twice. Anyways nice to hear more positive feedback about SkyBond. Does it perform well when used in team situations mixed with LPG?

I would have to say there aren't really pros and cons between the 2 lengths. Just a matter of what feels right, as many above have already said. 13s for me, all conditions, most Revs (indoor/B/speed/Zen). Have 15s, tried 17s... don't like at all, any conditions. Not fond 11s either.

You can shed about half the weight of each light (2 grams+ usually) by removing the housings and taping the battery to the LED contacts when needed to be on.

mystainedskin is right about slack line fun with the B2 being off the chart! And so easy to do in low wind, because the B2 won't hang on to less wind in the first place

I can drag the B2 around from 0 on up, but I literally mean drag... my sail/LE just sheets the wind so fast. I will admit it can be a problem with my control, but I cannot hold a hover below 7 mph, until I get some curve in the LE. It can be fun to fly in this manner but with my chance at precision reduced in the low low wind, I'm looking for other options. I'm steering away from magic sticks too, I don't want a stiffer sail. The B2 has a higher weight to sail ratio compared to the 1.5 B already.. I flew a Rev 2 at KP and it was so much looser than my B2. It's my belief that the single skin had less seams which saves weight, and was therefore more flexible to boot. However, even that flew stiff with the 1/4" rod. I think any one of many changes could be made that would help me fly it better in 1-6 mph, but the rod tech is at the top of my list to start with.

The B2 would be my kites of choice if it had the low end range on the std.. I will have to try the P90 frame. I bought The Diamond frame for my B2 and it's better than the race frame but only marginally so. I would love to have a Zen frame made B2 size, and an Indoor frame B2 sized as well to try out, but it's cost prohibitive, and a full P90 frame would be cheap.

I feel the same way, especially regarding the B2. I was thinking lighter weight sail cloth, or less panels in the design, as the seams add stiffness- it wouldn't be considered a B-Series then I guess. Smaller diameter rods. I think your bungie idea should be explored as well. Need more flex in the rods/cup in the sail, however I can get it.

I understand inland-wind frustrations as well. Las Vegas is high elevation (>2000ft), and is situated in a valley with mountain ranges bordering 3 sides of the city. The wind up here is comprised of thin, heated air (thermals) and nasty gusty swirly junk. Now that summer is approaching, the high pressure systems will settle in above us and stifle any breeze that might have been... It can be frustrating. The inconsistent winds have driven me away from dualie trick kites, and over to the Rev, where I can make the best out of any wind situation. Patience and perseverance are my recommendations. As long as you are physically capable, keep at it and keep on keepin' on. Light wind flying is a skill you must cultivate.

Lam Hoac's skill looks to be limited by the performance of the kite. I've seen prices of $300 mentioned by Patrick Tan, not sure if that is RTF, comes with multiple frames etc etc just saw $300.

The ABS is pretty... I need to see the leading edge bend a little more; the kite seems to fly in a very "stiff" manner, and doesn't seem to fly with high precision, at least in the vids I've seen (could be the pilots hehe). Looks like it has some sort of built-in magic sticks. Lam Hoac makes excellent kites, so I'm sure the build quality is exceptional. It is a pretty kite.
