  1. Motor for buggying, or land board, etc. If you fly Rev's the PB is a great option for power (dragging) or a motor. As for the really fast speed part, Ed and I got the Spiderkites Lycos 2.5 competition. Flies in 3-5 mph, zips around at 10 mph and approaching 20 it will drag you around all at warp speed. On a recent trip to the beach we had steady 12-14 mph and flew the Lycos on 150' lines. Great fun, so smooth and not much pull at that speed. Here is a shot of them flying taken from my KAP rig. 2. When are at the beach and which beach. Kite Festival at Atlantic Beach on the 24-25th. Many Revheads there to help you out. Also where is your not beach location? I fly often while home and would be happy to meet and help any way I can. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. You will have to come next year. I think you can go to Facebook and see the pictures without having your own Facebook page. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Check the Facebook page for the clinic. Many pics and several videos. 11 kites in a mega fly. Fantastic time. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. Great colors too. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. Sounds like something I need to fly off my rwb Sutton. Made from plastic and packing tape however, is concerning to read. Send me a PM with your thoughts on what would work for you. Marshall Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. I think it is a great prize. But I abstain because I already have one and love it. I carry my phone (non flip style) and pop in the Weather Flow. Nice easy to read display. You can log the reading for your records or better yet email the results to your buddies who are working rather than flying. [emoji41] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. The kite has been sold, been shipped and been flown by its new owner. I can also say that I like it a bunch. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. Bummer! But life happens. You are still most welcome and your place is on standby if it works out. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. I use sleeving and I always tied the little knot at the end. With my fingers and no bifocal lenses in my sunglasses, I needed that little extra help. Very convenient for undoing the larks head. After reading this thread and having the extra trimming left over, I made several sets of the little loops. Works great. Better than I expected. I will be swapping out knots for these little pulls on my line sets. One other advantage to them is the line length. The pulls do not change the overall length like the overhand knots do. No more worrying about putting the knot at the same place on each end of each line. Marshall
  11. RobB just mentioned one of these in the thread WTB. Also I cannot imagine anyone using stone in a name of a kite. :-) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. PM sent. Let me know if you get it ok. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. Early afternoon here the sand is too hot for bare feet. August can be quite warm. Hats buffs and sunscreen. With luck we will have a nice breeze blowing off the ocean. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  15. Still in season, so no deep discounts, but Hallowell's Motel is right next to our breakfast spot, afternoon beer spot and the night fly spot. They still have some rooms available. Motels on the mainland side (Morehead City) will be somewhat less, but you will have a bit more drive to the clinic.
  16. Cool. I look forward to meeting new friends at the fort. I asked don to check with local supporters (hotels etc) to see if any will offer a special rate. I'll check back with him tomorrow and let you know. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
