Who else here has dealt with Dave from Kite Connection and was your experience as good as mine?

I know of a few here that have... but was just interested in hearing about it. It was such a GOOD ...scratch that....GREAT experience for me and from that.... I will be making all my purchases through him. Not to mention, custom kites...only avialble through him.(what i purchased)

This is in no way putting down the other large dealers around. As i have not bought anything from them or dealt with them in any manner.

Here is a little backdrop to my transaction:

I purchased a kite only listing yesterday online. In the checkout, i mentioned I was going to the Treasure Island Festival and would like to recieve it for the trip at the end of the week. If standard shipping wasnt going to be quick enough... quote me the other shipping methods prices.. Figured that was that.

So, Dave emailed with upgraded shipping for free, not to mention processing the order almost instantly for shipping the next day. Also asked me a few question....Have everything you need ?

After a few emails....he found out I only have fairly short lines, compared too most. He couldnt have that! Threw in a line set on credit...as we had discussed me placing another order for supplies once the funds were available..... and then he found out I could cut my own sets and had sleeving(bulk) already. NIX the line set, Im sending you a bulk roll.... Need winders and how many?

What a pleasure to do business with someone like this! He is going to make every effort to make sure you are prepared and every second your in the air is enjoyable!

Dave was a joy to work with after I won the gift certificate that he donated to KiteLife. Called me on his dime, shared advice based on my interests, shipped a package that was worth $35 more than the gift certificate with instructions to "write me a check for the difference after you get the package."

Trenepohl's Kites and Fun Things has been my favorite kite shop for a while, but Kite Connection ranks right up there with K&FT. Next time I need something, if K&FT doesn't stock it, Dave's getting the call, for sure.
