West Australian
Ok, I have had an idea. I want to use my gliders more, they are very easy to forget when I have wind to fly something else. I have decided that I will glide Every day for the 31 Days of March. I will focus mainly on my iFlite Family, But I will get them all out at some point. Each day I will upload a new Picture or Video of that day. I will also try to get a new location each day to keep things fresh. I Invite everyone out there to Join in and Glide, then Post something up here. Don't let the gliders remain forgotten. So who's In, and who's interested in watching?
SHBKF
I'll give it a try. This may get me to finally attempt to take some pictures while flying. I will click away with a point & shoot hoping to get a few decent images. Before digital cameras appeared taking pictures was a financial commitment. Now we have no reason to shoot plenty & sort through them. When I first saw gliders I did not think they were for me but now I love mine.
West Australian
Great to hear you are joining in. Gliders can be a bit like that, they don't seem like much when you first look at them, but they can really capture you. You are on the right photography track, I snapped a dozen or so shots to get today's one. I decided to start out simple. iFlite in my spare room, a small kite for a small room. I got about an hour of flight time and this picture:
Amexpmh
My only glider is an iFlight non vented. But why not, I'll try to fly it everyday. Even take it on road trips. Probably hotel room flying. :-) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
mystainedskin
Might I suggest a continuous camera shot option. This is what I do. Within the shot bursts..you usually get a couple that are worthy of sharing

West Australian
Sweet! Thanks for joining in dashgee! Great shots, the stadium is a brilliant looking backdrop, glad you had your kite with you. Your backyard shot looks very similar to mine. Well day 3 was a late flight for me. Well after dark under the street lights in my front yard. I got in a nice half hour

dragonfish
Nice, WA. I take it your new gliders arrived? Here's a late post from my Day 1 (Sat). Self-made kite from an AKA convention workshop. Glides pretty nicely indoors, not so much outdoors. This was the first time I decided to test it outside, and I may try it one more time, but at this point I think it will be an indoor only kite.
Wayne Dowler
Joanna - is that one of Alexa King's "trash bag" gliders? I had one for most of a summer before giving it to someone watching at my indoor place!! There was a video somewhere of me flying it during the beginning of a routine last year at the Milton Indoor Festival! Not sure if it's on YT or not!
dragonfish
Yup, it is. Was rather pleasantly surprised how easy it is to make a glider that works decently well.
West Australian
Awesome pic dragonfish, great to have you join in. I am posting day 5 at the 11th hour. West Australian
Thanks for posting my day 6 Picture Rob. It was tough flying there. There were a lot of gusts, and it was easy to catch the sculptures. Zero G is pretty good at handling wind. Still I got a few nice glides between them

Paul LaMasters
indoor gliders make flying possible almost anywhere, suddenly trees and buildings are not interfering with kite fun.
dashgee
Hi everybody, Oh, nice Plutz ... that's definitely on my wish list! Day 6 Twin Vent iFlite #1428 inside on another rainy day. Hey, mystainedskin, that video you had of your black and white rev this week should classify as a glider session with all the floating you had going there with your axels. nice job. -g
West Australian
Thanks dashgee the P3 is an awesome glider. Nice twin vent. I have not had the pleasure of flying one of those. My pic for today is a family photo. I spent more than an hour wandering the house flying each of these in turn. No inflight picture could capture them all, so I had to go with a group shot.
