Don't. It wont increase the value at all, and you may end up screwing it up so it becomes less valuable. Anybody who buys one and wants to clean it can handle it by themselves. Not worth doing all that work for no appreciable increase in value.

Depending on the kite, you can wash with a mild detergent. Don't use a bristle brush. Some people have been known to climb into the shower with their kites to get them squeaky clean. Don't judge.
