Russ Wilson Posted June 11, 2018 Report Posted June 11, 2018 Revolution SUL in good condition with 2 wrap spars and lightweight bridle. Kite has seen light usage. Kite and spars only - no lines or handles. Asking $150 buyer pays shipping USPS Priority CONUS only 3
DTill Posted February 2, 2019 Report Posted February 2, 2019 Is this kite still available? Is it actually a sul? Did they make a sle in sul?
Russ Wilson Posted February 2, 2019 Author Report Posted February 2, 2019 Yes, it is still available. I believe it is an SUL, but I'm not the best Rev historian. If I remember correctly, I got the kite from KiteConnection/Dave Shenkman years ago. It is very lightweight - compared to other Rev's I've owned. I've only flown it a couple times. Right now it sits in the bag since I've been flying a Phoenix Ash for the last 3 years.
DTill Posted February 2, 2019 Report Posted February 2, 2019 A quick Google search answered my question. They did make a SUL /SLE.
DTill Posted February 8, 2019 Report Posted February 8, 2019 Arrived today in perfect condition. Definitely a SUL, spectra bridle and all. Might need some bungi tweeks but other wise unused condition. Second pic is 6.5 ounces. Thanks Russ!
Russ Wilson Posted February 8, 2019 Author Report Posted February 8, 2019 Glad it arrived and will get some use. Give me a yell if you're going to WSKIF and we can get together for a fly. Not sure if JB has recruited you, but he's trying to get 100 guinea pigs for the mega fly. It should be a lot of fun.
DTill Posted February 8, 2019 Report Posted February 8, 2019 JB hasn't contacted me, but i could be in. What's the camping / lodgeing scene up there. I'm super dialed on the Oregon coast. Years of surfing there. I know nothing of Washington, hear it's a different deal.
Russ Wilson Posted February 8, 2019 Author Report Posted February 8, 2019 Really hard to get camping/lodging the week of WSKIF. I'd suggest staying across the river in Ft. Stevens. We used to do that a lot and then drive over to Long Beach for the day.
Wayne Dowler Posted February 8, 2019 Report Posted February 8, 2019 It is so tough that many festival goers make their reservations as they leave! There is a group of quad fliers that are there the whole month of August. If you plan to go - make reservations as soon as possible.
Paul LaMasters Posted February 8, 2019 Report Posted February 8, 2019 our reservations were paid for in April of '18 (for the August mega-fly of 2019 WSIKF), so ya', what Wayne said is correct!
John Barresi Posted February 11, 2019 Report Posted February 11, 2019 You’re more than welcome to come play @DTill, lots of discussion and info here already... https://www.facebook.com/events/2063175117276024/ Hope to see you there. PS, I’m locking this thread since he kite was sold, feel free to jump in on another WSIKF topic elsewhere... https://kitelife.com/forum/topic/8760-2019-wsikf-quad-mega-fly-record/
