  1. We're pleased to yet again announce the next prize being given away to our most appreciated supporters, the Kitelife Subscribers... For roughly 10 cents per day they play a major role in keeping KL growing in every way. Djinn ST from Kite Forge, $375 value, in your choice of standard colors (cool, hot, green or purple fade)! == Full info - https://kiteforge.com/djinn More videos - https://kiteforge.com/videos/ This package includes a ST (standard) sail, Mystic 12 frame and a kite sleeve! NOTE: You will be able to choose any one of the standard color combos, but it will be exactly the same Djinn ST configuration that I fly myself - no special mods needed, it's already a boss right out of the bag... We should be able to ship from existing inventory when a winner is drawn, worst case will be 2-4 weeks for restock (depending on color choice). You can sign up here. Odds of winning for this prize is currently 1/377, and will be drawn on Feb 21st, 2019! Our thanks, and the very best to you... Let the drooling begin!

  4. Actually you gain a minuscule amount of HANDLE length. You are moving the pivot point of the line attachment from the hog rings all the way to the ends of the handles. Will gain about 3/16" or so at each end. You will lose a small amount of leader length because your attachment point is no longer the hog rings but an internal screw head. You are losing that from both top and bottom so it does equal out. Exploded view for reference.. The hole is where the hog ring was. (I sand the burrs off)

  5. And a HUGE warning if you are converting. Be very careful when you take the hog rings out and the vinyl caps off. The burr underneath where the holes are is typically VERY sharp and will slice your finger/hand quite easily..

  6. Hopefully this compensates somewhat for the delay with our last drawing. And for the record, it *might* be possible too negotiate the model (ST/MV/VT) if you already have a Djinn ST in your bag. No promises, but you guys know I'm always keen to try and find a happy balance.

  8. UPDATE 1-3-19 It's very small but has caused blood shed and pain to many men and woman. Today I had the opportunity to capture it in its natural habitat. A rare sighting that would not have been possible had it not been for all those who have ventured before me. Thank you for you sacrifice!!

  14. UPDATE... yesterday was relax on the beach with my beautiful wife day. It was glorious!! Today winds gentle 3 to 5, flew the lightweight with top leaders on third knot in from end. fun day, a lot of back stepping to keep sail full. I have to learn better ground recovery technique!!. A lot of people on the beach so I had to limit my flight space. I found it easier to fly than my reflex exp!! Still a fun time for about 2 hours. Wind looks less tomorrow. Time to convert my handles to snagless!! Happy flying
