True, but I don’t want to get stuck in a theme of Kaiju species.

It’s a tough spot picking colors, all I can do is poll my contacts and take the best average I can. ❤️

Magic sticks have always been an aftermarket add on, never added by any manufacturer - originally designed by Bob McBroom in the 90s, the sticks were later produced as a kit by High Flyers Kite co, and finally (still?) by Flying Smiles Kites.

Hot dang, that's a great looking kite!

Makes me think of a Vespa. I think I've settled on Kaiju. My interpretation from discussions with the Mrs (full Japanese) is that Kaiju encompasses a wide spectrum of beings from the big 'uns down to the little woodly guys who need a teacup on their head filled with water or they'll die.

Not sure how to describe it exactly, it’s not a “floater” - it’s meant to be flown, not carried around on a pillow (as I’d describe most indoor flying I see). Possible colors for first release...

He makes beautiful kites.

Much too early to get into specifics, nothing defined yet - just one finished prototype in hand. Great, insightful name offerings thus far, still waiting for my instinctive "oooooooh!" response. Funny names are welcome too! Maybe the "Sha-laka-laka"? lol

You may be referring to “magic sticks”, an aftermarket mod primarily popular on the east coast and parts of Europe? http://kitelife.com/forum/topic/7690-what-are-sissy-sticks-heard-them-referred-to-in-a-videoemoji41 http://kitelife.com/forum/topic/5914-magic-sticks-review/ http://kitelife.com/forum/gallery/album/429-revolution-magic-quad-sticks/ They basically resemble kick stands on the back of the kite, as opposed to “stand offs” which hold the sail open on a dual line kite.

Posting new topic?
John Barresi replied to Lisa Bernard / Kiteworld's topic in The Web Site (nuts and bolts)
From the forum home page... http://kitelife.com/forum Scroll to the section of choice - in this case you had a Rev/quad question, so you’ll want “quad heads”... Little video example, using my own phone: E915925E-EB6B-4DAB-8206-4491782EC58F.MOV Once you’ve clicked into “quad heads”, you’ll then want to click “start new topic” and the rest should be self explanatory. Main thing is if you’re asking a new question, find the section that applies whether it’s indoor flying, kite making, or whatever - there is a section for almost anything. Anytime you click “reply” instead of “new topic”, you’ll be commenting on an existing discussion and such relies should generally be on topic. Holler back if you have further difficulty, we’ll try to help. -

I like mythological names too, as long as they’re short and readable by almost anyone - 4 to 7 characters.

It was an open ended statement, all suggestions are welcome in this topic. Just looked it up... Doesn't ring my bells.

@RobB - while I agree in principle, the smaller kite is more accessible for a variety of folks in indoor and urban conditions, just not a whole lot of buyers for the large class kites, at this point anyway. Valid point though. FYI, the Whisper already exists: http://www.windpowersports.com/kites/into-the-wind/whisper.php

Time will tell, but the versatility of this size fills all my buckets - will look at a separate outdoor design in the future. [emoji1303] Sent from my iPhone using KiteLife mobile app
