  1. Some real treasures there, good luck!
  2. It's on our to-do list for the Kitelife archives, but I'm not aware of anything else out there at the moment - sorry.
  3. Check in here for daily updates from AKAGN, reporting, photos and insights into this years gathering in Enid, OK. http://www.kitelife.com/magazine-archive/daily-reports/aka-nationals/
  4. Okay, video should now appear in Chrome... Confirm?
  5. Come to Long Beach for what is likely to the biggest Rev party ever held, and an attempt to break the existing Rev mega fly world record (currently 64 kites) with 100 pilots or more in attendance! NOTE: Actual record attempts will likely be held on Thu/Fri/Sat, but those new to GRID format are advised to come a couple days early to study and practice, or just come to observe, learn from some of the best pilots in the world and have fun. == For more information, take a look at the event in our Kitelife calendar... Or, visit our event page on Facebook! https://www.facebook.com/events/414867438580073/
  6. PS, team flying is easier than it looks... Can be simple or complicated, and a good leader will take 3-5 other newer fliers and run through some simple drills almost anyone can do. You'd be AMAZED at how quick you pick it up. Come out to WSIKF 2013 for the big Rev party, you'll learn lots! <grin>
  7. Yeah trigger! Awesome, have fun and share it. We're also here to help if you have any questions or problems.
  8. Making short line sets are a great way to utilize older, scruffy lines if you're on a budget.
  9. If the wind and environment is good, I'm often on 120's... In the very lighter of winds though, I fall back on my 30 footers - becomes easier (with practice) to load and snap the kite around. Regarding the video issue in Chrome, we just upgraded our forum software and I think the code it generates has broken for Chrome... I'll look into it, but for now you can see the video on FireFox or YouTube direct.
  10. Wow, freakin' awesome lady fliers in Europe, mad respect! You were pretty good too Ricardo. Thanks for posting this mi amigo, nice flying all around.
  11. On my quad line sets, after a solid year of flying, it's not uncommon to start getting a little binding (line lock) around 6 wraps.
  12. Yes, all active subscribers are automatically entered...Your number is 1012.
  13. Aye, kite looks sharp - good luck to all.
  14. Ah yes, forgot to recap that one... Yes - when pulling one side to slide, you must apply a little more brake on the OPPOSITE side than you're sliding toward (whether upright or inverted).
  15. We're pleased to yet again announce the next prize being given away to our most appreciated supporters, the Kitelife Subscribers... For roughly 10 cents per day they play a major role in keeping KL growing in every way. Revolution Indoor quad line kite (package), roughly a $259 value! Colors are white, yellow, orange and red... Will try and get a better photo up later. This package includes kite, handles and kite sleeve... 10'-12' spectra lines (50# to 90#) are recommended, but not included. We currently have nine indoor Rev tutorials available to subscribers. Gain access to the tutorials and your entry into this drawing - sign up here. Odds of winning for this prize is currently 1/311, and will be drawn on October 15th, 2012! Our thanks, and the very best to you... Let the drooling begin!
  16. Looking at the images, agreed, I think all three on the right are 90#.
  17. Gold, pure gold... You've hit on the biggest secret. Clockwork is in it's most basic essence, 4 basic hovers with several dozen additional fractions in-between... It's those little notch-stops in the rotation that are where the real control comes from, whether we're talking about clockwork or bicycle rotations. I'd guess it's getting away from you most often when the kite starts to rotate toward the leading edge down position... If so, it's the hovers in-between 3-6 o clock when going clockwise and 6-9 o clock when going anti-clockwise. My suggestion would be to deeply explore the control in that rotation zone, then try your clockwork turns methodically, slowly, slowly speeding up (and deepening) the input as you become more and more comfortable with the hand transitions.

Congratulations to MI, just send me an email with your shipping address and I'll get it out in the mail. == Now, what else can we give away? <grin>
  19. Anything for scale/comparison will help us guess the line weight.
  20. Honestly, I'd suggest searching for or posting the same question on the Rev forum... http://www.revkites.com Lots of discussions already in the archive there, should have all the info you're looking for.
  21. Okay, drum roll... #722, sorry - expired! #383, sorry - expired! #562, sorry - expired! #296, sorry - expired! #461... Wait... OH SNAP! Congrats to #461 - Karen M. 22. Okay, our power is back up... Just going to update our master list with the sign ups that came in during my last trip, then we'll give some kites away!
  23. I'm up, I'm up! Problem though... I awoke to a power outage in my neighborhood, so I'm waiting for PGE to juice us back up before I can do the drawing... For now, I'm on the iPhone. I'll also do the Zen today, so some folks have a double chance by the day's end. Stay tuned!
