  1. We have one.
  2. Namaste Paavan, and welcome to the KiteLife forum.
  3. Is that Terry Rankin?
  4. We're pleased to yet again announce the next prize being given away to our most appreciated supporters, the Kitelife Subscribers... For roughly 10 cents per day they play a major role in keeping KL growing in every way. This is a brand new Sweet Emotion sport kite by Dodd Gross, from Skydog Kites, roughly a $180 value! A good all-rounder, this is a great intermediate/advanced kite - http://www.skydogkit...etemotion.shtml If you haven't done so already, You can sign up here. Odds of winning for this prize is currently 1/319, and will be drawn on February 20th, 2013! Our thanks, and the very best to you... Let the drooling begin.
  5. Wow, for once we got lucky and pulled an active subscription first thing! Heartfelt congratulations to subscriber #654, Kody Jones! Way to go Kody, I hope you enjoy it. Stay tuned for a new drawing to be posted soon.
  6. Hi guys, sorry for the delay... Got the flu something fierce, just trying to get by today with lots on the to do list. Stay tuned, we'll have a winner shortly.
  7. Wahoo, awesome - solid flying!! PS: I've not been ignoring your emails, been SWAMPED working on a massive project... Should be all clear of it by the 25th at the latest.
  8. It's been unusually warm here in Portland, a week or so around freezing but we've managed to avoid it otherwise. Still darned wet up here though.
  9. Wow, your double-Rev skills are climbing, eh?? Nice work Gustavo, very enjoyable for me.
  10. No slap and tickles with these on!
  11. That's some sick trick flying, thanks!
  12. Wow, I imagine that needs some big spars. You might try http://goodwinds.com/ for odd spars like this. They deal with all sorts of needs, and will either have what you need or might have a referral.
  13. Let us know how it goes, eh Matt?
  14. Glad to have you here, please don't hesitate to solicit help or challenge us with ideas. Regards!
  15. This clinic is totally sold out as of last night - we're exploring plans for a second clinic on May 3-5, stay tuned!
  16. Brilliant, it'll be good to have you there. Between Watty, Eli you and I, we'll be able to power a small kite reactor. LOL
  17. Ya, no... Still comes up short. Need VIDEO, you know, live action.
  18. Here's one Avenger wisker / standoff configuration... Note, that image is from a related discussion here.
  19. For Avenger / Hawaiian shaped kites, I think it's best to run the standoff from the bottom spreader to the batten... Either partway down (as noted in the image below), simply so it's supported by framing and may be less likely to collapse.
  20. Aw damn Dave, I really can't get enough of your flying - in particular for me, your transition in rotations, fluidly interchangeable forward-reverse, and the wide variety of maneuvers and methodology... Funk it daddy-o, oh yeah. You ARE coming to WSIKF, right??
  21. We did this last June... No lights on the kites, flood and spot lights on the GROUND. The iQuad team has also traditionally flown with lights on our Revs at WSIKF (these are time-lapse photos by Scott Weider)... We use the plain "bulb and battery" approach, we use square-bulb blue LED lights, wider degree of visibility and nothing quite cuts the night sky like blue - great for visibility.
  22. Another good light discussion, on the Rev forum... http://www.revkites.com/forum/topic/272-kite-lights/
  23. We'll have Spence, TK and myself on hand with what we hope will be an improved and goal-oriented curriculum that should provide more direction and "homework" process to improve the learning curve for everyone... We'll also have Brian Achenbach helping, he was at our very first WCRC and shined at the Rev Team Boot Camp earlier this year. I'll send out some prep materials in the next month or two as well.
