  1. Are the vertical spars on the front of the kite in this photo? Just gotta check, because I actually had my verticals on the wrong side and sold my first Rev because of it, until I finally figured out they go on the back.
  2. Back on topic (sorry about that)... Dodd Gross has a really popular line of beginner and intermediate kites out through Skydog Kites, I've heard repeatedly good things from the stores carrying them.
  3. I love Tenacious D. Nice work, tuning and loading look solid.
  4. What is the link to your YouTube channel, maybe add it to your signature? http://kitelife.com/forum/index.php?app=core&module=usercp&tab=core&area=signature
  5. #1027 sir, good luck!

Congratulations to Scott Keasler, proud owner of a brand new Sweet Emotion from Dodd Gross and Skydog Kites! Thanks to all, stay tuned for our next prize package.
  8. Drum roll please...
  9. Ian, thanks for your patience (never a bother), I took a much-needed 3 day weekend with the Mrs and updated all our numbers this morning. Please direct your lady luck toward #1250.
  10. Ohhhhh yes, we've tried to fit a clinic amidst a festival before and it really doesn't work well... First of all, 10a-4p on Friday is just six hours... We typically take a full 2 days (9am-4pm) to cover the basics. Second, having a festival going on alongside naturally distracts the students, and attracts non-students, both make the process more difficult. Still, we're going to make the six hours in Redcliffe very intensive, so folks can really get their money's worth and have LOTS to work on afterward.
  11. Fair enough - I'm glad to hear the shop/owner is solid, and that the lack of knowledge is limited to seasonal hire-ons.
  12. Adjusted my vote to include the Rev II's.
  13. What shop is this, btw?
  14. You should be able to get all necessary info from David White, contact info on this page... http://www.redcliffekiteclub.org.au/Committee_page_8.htm Clinic is scheduled for 10a-4pm on Friday before the festival. Note, ALL clinic proceeds will go to the local club.
  15. I'm sorry Rob, but putting 150# on a Rev II of any kind is like thethering a fly with rope - WAY heavy and overkill. May be that they are a great shop, but that recommendation would make me suspect of their knowledge.
  16. I also remember the Southeast Stunt Kite Championships (SSKC) in South Miami Beach, attended in '92... And, the Little Acorns Kite Festival during the mid 90s, same location. You're right on time, lots of good things ahead!
  17. Argh. Not sure what to say Rob... I've updated ALL aspects of TapaTalk on the forum side.
  18. Try again? I updated the hooks. (only updated the operating files before)
  19. I like 60'-90', 50#, B2 STD.
  20. I LOVE 50# on the B2 in light to medium wind, the direct input with no drag or delay is awesome.
  21. Also, sometimes a little more "wild west" but still a solid UK forum and possibly the most popular... http://www.fracturedaxel.co.uk/phpBB2/
  22. VERY nice Dave, I like it a lot.
  23. Whoohoo! Cured! Thanks for mentioning it, I made the same update on the Rev forum as well.
