  1. Hey, tell old "Lava Bob" that John Barresi says hi.
  2. Thanks guys - I'll do what I can to facilitate the many great ideas and perspectives we have in our community.
  3. Aye, lots of acreage required on 120's.
  4. Hi all - just taking a quick break here at WSIKF and wanted to post a request for help. Frankly, my very likely involvement as the AKA president in 2013 is requiring a significant amount of time and effort (already)... We're a small little business and we're still working on how to balance time and resources between Kitelife and my other responsibilities - but bills still need to be paid our promotion efforts still need to be financed. ** NOTE: This drive has nothing to do with the AKA and frankly, if you're not a member I'd just as soon you sen them $40 for a membership. http://aka.kite.org/join-the-aka For those who can and wish to donate to Kitelife, we'll be holding a special drawing on September 15th as we meet each of these goals... Every dollar donated will earn one numbered entry toward one of these great items ($goal >>): $500 >> One B-Series Zen (already in stock - will post colors soon) $1000 >> One B2 mid-vent package (already in stock - will post colors soon) $1500 >> One Kymera dual line kite (already in stock - will post colors soon) If we exceed these goals, I'll try and come up with another prize or two. Anyway, I know times are tough for all but if you could use a new kite(s) and are in a position to help, just donate via the link on our forum's home page side bar or send directly by PayPal to info@kitelife.com We'll be giving entries for donations from now through 9/15, good luck!
  5. I'll look this up when I'm home on Monday.
  6. Okie dokie... Just had to make sure our subscriber records were 100% tip top for the drawing, been a busy week. 341... Expired, sorry! 232... Expired, sorry! 568... Expired, sorry! 837... Hrm... Wait... Yep, we've got a winner - Joe Becker with #837! Congrats Joe, look for an email with more info - thanks to all for playing! Oh, and don't forget about the Oh Canada Rev being given away on 9/20.
  7. *drum roll* Back in a few.
  8. Sorry, I caught the RNG crunching some raw numbers... Makes him gassy.
  9. Don't take that too seriously, I'm just making light... Heady work, to be sure. I really will do my best, just not taking myself too seriously.
  10. Right now, I'm favoring "the best of what's left" slogan for my non-campaign.
  11. Hi all, Just wanted to touch base here on the digital home front to share some interesting news, if you weren't aware already. Looks like I'm running unopposed for AKA president, the election will take place at the Annual Business Meeting during AKA Convention first week of October in Enid, OK... New administration takes over on October 16th or 17th, I think. My candidate statement: There's not much else to say about it - you all pretty much know what I'm about, we'll let the future speak for itself, for better or worse. I'll give it everything I've got, you can be assured of that. Thanks for your support, in any capacity or venue!
  12. Beautiful.
  13. Hi all, sorry for the delay on this - just back from Bogota last night. Here is a functional link... http://kitemailcom.mail.everyone.net/ I've also updated the link on the INFO tab of our main site navigation. Working on getting the old links working again, but that will do in the meantime. Thanks for your patience!
  14. WOW - super bonus this weekend... Not only did we see Joanna (winner of the airplane kite), not only was she friendly and passionate about kites... She also jumped into some 4-person team with some of us "pros" and she kicked BUTT. Really, I don't often see someone digest and adapt to our team maneuvers so quickly. Truly impressive, great work Joanna - you're welcome on my team line anytime.
  15. We're pleased to yet again announce the next prize being given away to our most appreciated supporters, the Kitelife Subscribers... For roughly 10 cents per day they play a major role in keeping KL growing in every way. This is a brand new Crossfire sport kite by Dodd Gross, from Skydog Kites, roughly a $139 value! A good all-rounder and trick kite, this is a great addition for any intermediate/advanced flier - http://www.skydogkit...crossfire.shtml I've actually had personal time on this model before, it's a great trick kite, I liked the way it handles on it's back (jacobs ladder, etc) == If you haven't done so already, You can sign up here. Odds of winning for this prize is currently 1/311, and will be drawn on August 13th, 2012! Our thanks, and the very best to you... Let the drooling begin.
  16. Thanks all - we'll keep the good stuff coming!
  17. Awesome, really awesome. See you in a few days!
  18. 99% of the Rev stuff comes out of my personal supply, inventory from my agreement with Revolution. The rest of it though, is thanks to our arrangements the fine SPONSORS of Kitelife.com (listed on the right side of our main site). These are reputable and generous members of the kiting industry, businesses that are actually involved in the kiting community. Our thanks goes to them, and we encourage you to look them up any time you need a new kite or gear.
  19. *rim shot*

  23. May be useful to source from "one stop" parts/material vendors like Kite Builder or Goodwinds, not sure who would be equivalent in your part of the world.
