You'd think we were having fun or something.
  2. Awesome, thank you Marko!! Hope to see you again soon.
  3. Woohoo! We had a good time yesterday... A little chilly and choppy wind, but we had a solid turnout and more than enough wind to fly all day. It was a good New Year day for me.
  4. We had our annual Portland new years fly yesterday (social - not a club)... Anyone else do something similar?
  5. Just added Chrome to the poll (top of this page), you should be able to delete and reassign your vote - if you want.
  6. Just picked up an addon for FF, check this out... It embeds a download menu directly into any YouTube video page, allowing me to grab any available size/format of what I'm watching.
  7. Sorry to hear it Ken, probably wouldn't be enough wind for a brand-spanking new Mid-Vent anyway. Seriously, we'll miss you - have a safe and enjoyable New Years!
  8. Aye aye, can't wait... Let's hope there's no rain.
  9. As a web developer, I prefer Firefox (view selected source, Firebug, etc), Chrome only gets used in my office for watching Hulu, YouTube uploads, and checking cross-browser compatibility of web sites... Firefox might be a slower, but it's the best of the feature-oriented browsers I've used up til now.
  10. Just wanted to take a moment and wish everyone a very happy holiday season. We wish you the best in all things, have a great, safe New Year!
  11. Aye, a photo would be perfect... I love identifying old kites, too much fun and nostalgia.
  12. Just to tease (some of you may have seen this already)...
  13. Alpha? Two styles of Avenger: Flying Wings is still around, parts are fairly common. The Avenger was by Action Kites... Don Tabor was a part of that company, then left to start Top Of The Line with their Team Hawaiian kite:
  14. If I remember right, the Avenger was made by Action Kites, probably fiberglass spars. Sadly, those are about a year before my time so I never became familiar with the sizes. The Alpha is probably from Flying Wings, maybe pultruded (not wrapped) carbon? I think any of the "pro" shops should be able to help you identify them, maybe try cross-posting in GWTW. We have knowledgeable folks here too (kiteking is very good), but folks check GWTW more often. Wherever you find your info, I encourage you to post back here with your findings so others might benefit.
  15. I believe the RNG is starting to weigh in the appropriate naughty and nice equations. Gotta say though, it's making an awful lot of noise running those numbers. <grin>

  18. Works for me... Try a hard refresh in your web browser. Hold the shift key and reload the page at the same time.
  19. Oooo... New Years Day Fly in Portland? January 1st, West Delta Park, maybe 10am to... Who's up for it? Location info - http://www.kitemap.org/site-details?id=2&sname=West%20Delta%20Park

  23. Cool. Nice speaking with you today, by the way! FYI, all capital letters on the web generally means you're yelling. Regular size text might be more appropriate... No problem, just thought I'd let you know.
  24. I just edited the post, it's all good.
  25. Name: WSIKF 2010 - 16 Rev Fliers in 2-4 mph Category: Mega Team Date Added: 09 December 2011 - 01:42 PM Submitter: John Barresi Short Description: iQuad, Decorators, Flying Squad, Spence Watson, Scott Weider and others First attempt at a "Super 16" grid fly with experienced pilots, Stephen Hoath and John Barresi taking turns calling... Notice how the beginning is fairly slow with attempts to hover in the light wind and the style evolves to keep things moving without as much stopping / stalling.
