  1. Since my lap top (and sole computer) won't even boot up, 've got to visit the Apple Store first thing tomorrow morning, then picking Takako up at the airport around 1pm... Please bear with me if I'm a day late, thanks! (posted from my iPhone)
  2. *tick tock*
  3. Thanks guys, I hope you'll forgive my tardy reply... Everything is coming to a head now, just getting it done. Back to normal soon.
  4. Okay, managed to eek out the Friday update despite lap top issues, it's uploading now, should be available in 10-15 minutes.
  5. Sorry to say I've got some bad news folks... My Macbook seems to have picked up a bug and isn't responsive enough to do anything except browse the web, but it's still locking up sometimes even for such simple tasks. It's now about 3:30am and I haven't been able to install either ClamXav or VirusBarrier as of yet, the installers fail outright and Apple's tech support offices are closed on Sat/Sun so my hands are officially tied for the weekend. So sorry, this was obviously the last thing I expected... All I can do is go through clean up, reinstalls, repairs and restores once I'm back in the office on Monday and try to complete the updates (albeit late) as soon as possible. All apologies, thanks for your understanding.
  6. For anyone interested, we've just uploaded another daily update (3 of 6) from the AKA Grand Nationals in Rochester, MN with highlights, photos, video and competition TBA results: http://www.kitelife.com/magazine/aka09 Some of these are assembled at extremely off hours, so please don't hesitate to email me with any broken links, etc, I'd rather it all be working 100% for you. Also, for those of you on Facebook, I'm uploading the occasional note and photo from Rochester to our own FB page, found here. Cheers, good winds!
  7. Nice analogy. Congrats, keep it up! Of course, keep skimming the Rev forum for info.
  8. Original post on http://www.gwtwforum.com/index.php?topic=1701 I flew with Marty in comps during the early and mid-90s... Great guy, he will be missed.
  9. Received this from Maggie Vohs at the KTAI yesterday... Erv owned Four Winds kite shop and manufacturing (Nebula, NOS, etc), always super friendly and very knowledgeable about the industry... Erv's memory lives on... My heart goes out to Gail and the rest of his family.
  10. Good! Maybe I'll get Bugs Bunny music back on my YouTube videos.
  11. Zen - http://www.revkites.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=3065
  12. A little dated, but way cool and chock full of pro fliers. Part 1 Part 2 Part 3
  13. Not sure... I typically don't head down there except for clinics (ask for another one through www.baskl.org) or the festival in July. Love the bay area though, always love an excuse to visit.
  14. Does EOL have a web site?
  15. The white ones are STUNNING in night flies with even a little light shining on them, any color you like.
  16. Line and straps were a bonus, I had 'em laying too close, must have fallen in. Can't wait to see a pic of happy kite/owner in drier weather!
  17. No bad at all, we're good, I totally understand. I'm just covering the bases as admin, to connect all the info. Enrhusiasm is always appreciated, carry on.
  18. Makes anyone twice as sexy, guaranteed. <GRIN>
  19. For any replies, I'll ask them to be posted on the original topic, in the Rev forum. http://www.revkites.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=3275&hl= Fair to cross-post here, but no sense in spreading the answers across two forums.
  20. If you've uploaded them to the gallery first and are using or tags as provided by the forum itself, do it any way you like. If you're uploading straight into a post, the photo is dealt with automatically. Either way, the size is filtered during the upload, the rest doesn't matter so much.
  21. Right, I agree, so a balance between the Pro layout and Blue coloring... Got it, will do what I can. Of course, we'll be able to test them out here before committing, maybe even use a couple final versions (user choice) when it's said and done.
  22. Eventually, maybe in the next 2-3 years, it is my hope to organize an official, annual Kitelife-driven festival here in the Northwest. As for a membership card, we've got some you can wear. <grin> Love you guys!
  23. Congrats and welcome to the dark side, indeed!
  24. Listed above. Not a factor. In forum posts, below where you enter text, click on the "Click To Attach Files" button... Matter of fact, you'll see a break down of the limits there! Here's mine (as an admin): "Used 132.44MB of your Unlimited global upload quota (Max. single file size: 200MB)" What? I'll leave this one for others to make suggestions, I'm on Adobe software, not "general use" for most people. Anyone else have suggested questions or information? Right on the money... I *always* try to attach directly to the forum post because indeed, off-site hosting is unreliable in the long run. There's a start.
  25. Jeepster's inquiry re photo uploads has been moved to here... (thanks Tom - good inquiry)
