  1. 1992 was my winningest season ever... In Experienced class, I still hold two records. - 42 times in the top three - 13 ranked events entered That year me and my father traveled as far as one could for events... From Los Angeles to Vancouver BC, South Miami Beach to Boston.
  2. Back from the dark side? Seems to me that tricks are the dark side!
  3. Hey, the link won't work for me... You can just add the photo to your forum posting, when you're entering a new message - just look below for the "Browse..." button!
  4. 20 new subscribers, 30 to go! The current list looks like the "who's who" of kiting as we know it.
  5. I did my first cascade in Seaside during the AKA Nationals, and just figured out the flic-flac yesterday on the field with Scott... Even popped off 2 jacob's ladders, although there wasn't enough wind to nail it down.
  6. Hey Rick... Any news on the Cody plans for Kitelife? I know you're busy with talk show bookings after your feature article in Kiting Magazine, but we still love ya!
  7. Excuse me while I scurry out of harm's way...
  8. Now you're making me blush! Kitelines should be next if all goes well... Published from 1977 to the late 90s, there are something like 6 or 7 times as many Kitelines issues than there were of SKQ! With an incredible variety of kiting information, comparisons and plans, we really hope we can get this new project rolling as soon as possible! We posted the SKQ news over on GWTW's Forum as well, any of our subscribers who would like to make a follow up posting there could perhaps encourage others to sign up as well, emphasizing the long-term benefits Kitelife has to offer! http://gwtw-kites.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=17717 Either way it's all good, our mission is clear.
  9. Hello my friends, I am incredibly excited to announce that the complete collection of Stunt Kite Quarterly (SKQ) is finally converted to full color PDF files, all 14 issues are available on line, and 100% free of charge! As some of you may recall, SKQ was published from 1988 to 1993 and featured some of the most specialized sport kite reporting, photos, tips and news in the industry during those years. I would like to consider this a tribute to the original publisher, Cris Batdorff... His obvious love of kiting and skills as a journalist enhanced the sport kite scene immeasurably during it's hey day, and the impact he had on our community will never be forgotten. Check it out today! http://kitelife.com/forum/index.php?autoco...amp;showcat=113 Tremendous thanks go out to Bob and Susan Hanson for allowing us to republish this historical resource completely free of charge, making it available to the entire world 24 hours a day... Their generosity is deeply appreciated. We hope you enjoy their gift!
  10. Neat vids!
  11. Oh, by the way... I came up with video of our pairs routine from Hawaii Challenge '94, and will add it to our video archives sometime in the next couple months.
  12. You have two stacks of Speedwings?
  13. Maybe we can get Team World United entered as a wild card?
  14. I would say to consider using 100 foot lines if you're not already... Other than that, the STX 1.8 is a smaller kite as I recall... Until you get into an 8 foot wingspan on your ultralights, they generally won't quite get the "hang time" you're looking for. Also to be clear, is it rated for 0.1mph or 1.0mph?
  15. I think it'd be the only one like it.
  16. Also, the Rev EXP is VERY durable... So it will take some beatings.
  17. We're pleased to yet again announce the next prize being given away to our most appreciated supporters, the Kitelife Subscribers... 20. Never having been a fan of Prism kites in the past, I am fond of the new Quantum Pro.

  23. While they were disarmed for a moment, I (Bosley) did manage to get a photo of the Angels together for their most recent assignment at the AKA Convention. Nice work Angels!
  24. Hahahaha... Thanks for the tickles.
  25. Thanks for signing up Penny, we're overjoyed to have you on board!
