  1. AWWWW Shucks......I had everything packed and ready to go the night before and then some unexpected "issues" came up. I was grumpy all day. I too was looking forward to meeting all of you! It will definitely happen soon. Y'all take care! P
  2. 32....just a PUP>..... Have a good one and I'll see you tomorrow in Ocean Shores. I might even be able to get you to show me a thing or two on the REV. Maybe help me set mine up correctly if I can catch you when your not surrounded by HOT, SCANTILY CLAD, 19 YR OLD BEACH BUNNIES........I think it's supposed to be pretty warm tomorrow...so the eye candy will be out....(NO disrespect at all meant to the wonderful lady members of this forum...please feel free to grope and touch John as much as you want...it is his birthday after all.) Have a good one bud and here's to MANY MORE!!!! P
  3. Watty, Sounds good. I will definitely be at WSIKF. Spokane.....yikes...so far away and so hot. HA HA HA. I'll let you know if I ever get out that way. Maybe you could give me a few lessons. P
  4. I'm going to give it my best shot. Spent the 3 day weekend in Westport and had a great time despite the fact that I was in the hospital for surgery last Tuesday.....still recovering now. If nothing else...I'm going to try and make it for all day Saturday.....might have to head home on Sat night or Sun morning. Would love to meet you guys and say hello to Penny....and of course practice with my Rev. Hope to see you there. P I'll be out there also on Saturday and part of Sunday. Maybe we can hookup and fly a bit. I've got directions to the feild in Everett. Jatman, That sounds good....I'll let you know if I'm going to go...I should find out by this evening...(Friday). Have to see if the wife is going to be out of town or not. If she is...I might drive out anyway...and bring my 3 year old. The only problem with that is that I will not be able to fly...but at least we could check out the festival and have some great Dad/Daughter time. I'll let you know. Do you have a laptop that will be going with you.....so that you can check messages.....if not I'll send you an email with my cel #...or you can send me yours. Have a good time either way. P

  6. Nice job ANT. You should get a couple of shots of you and John flying together. That is if you can get the Monkey out of his pants......! !!!! Have fun tomorrow. P
  7. Welcome to the forum Huf.... Get ready to own more than one...the addiction is a bad one and you will end up with a few kites. I haven't even started learning dual line yet, focusing on the REV first....but, I already own 4-5 dualies. "For when I'm ready". Look to these guys on here that have owned them all or have MANY kites. You might even find someone that will sell you a used one for a better price which will enable you to get even more kite for your money. Good luck. P
  8. Ant, I hope you have your digital camera ready for Wildwood. After all the waiting...you better get some good pics to show us all....
  9. Hey man.....good things for good people....... Pass it on some day when you see the opportunity to do something for someone else. John, you seem like that type of guy anyway. P
  10. OK, I was browsing through some old posts last night....at about 3:30 AM....you all know how that goes. I came across this one from a while ago and have to say that I never saw the response from Qudkit or Ant. I wasn't teasing...I just knew nothing of old Revs. I only had one that I had purchased only a while before that time. I found these in an Ebay auction...poorly listed by someone that did NOT know what she had. No pics on the listing unless you clicked into it.....Did not list them as Revs.....Only as used kites or something similar. There were actually more revs by the same seller....one of them was another of the competition kites in blue I think....All the other kites were just about equally as interesting (as I know now) and equally as old or collectible. Look at that original quad design....and there were a lot of really interesting dual line kites. I did get a couple of Original Joel Sholtz signed birds and a really old Hawaii made White bird kite from a seperate auction I won. If I had known about these Revs I would have done anything to get them ....especially at the price they sold for....yes Quad, it would make you sick. They went CHEAP. Again, they were posted poorly so you had to actually fall into them. I was hoping to collect them or use them to trade for additions to my own bag. Ultimately I missed out on all the REVs....sure wish I had them now.....BUT, I was able to MAKE SURE that one of them made it to the "RIGHT GUY" that will seriously appreciate it because of his "History". I'm sure he will probably never let it go. It took a little orchestration....but it worked out. So, I was not teasing and ANT...you were pretty close with the garage sale idea. You bet I will be watching garage sales a whole lot closer now!!!! AH.....ignorance is bliss.....but now I'm ruined. Patrick
  11. I think I'll wear the beer goggles with the secret XRAY attachment.....just in case something "interesting" walks by on the beach..... P
  12. Kinda like dancing before we were married and were hanging out at the clubs or bars. So what would the kite comparison to "beer goggles" be???? P
  13. John, that sounds like just the class for me. I love to take advantage of the experiene of others. Save a little time and speed up the learning curve. Now, where do we go and what does it cost for those private John B. Rev lessons? Do we have to bring only a B series kite or is one provided with every lesson? By the way John....I notice your little dog stake Rev flying dude is still flying on an "old" kite. Shouldn't he have a new "B" series kite????? P
  14. What does that mean John? I thought you liked the 1.5 SLE??? Just curious... P
  15. Do it Ant......Go for it!!!!! Beautiful kites Mouse!!!! P
  16. And yet another shot of the ANTMAN with both his kite and his beer of choice in the frame.......he's a natural commercial for the Miller Company.
  17. Hey girl, would love to see pics of some of the "sisters"...any chance you could post them? Thanks, P
  18. Mia would Love that.......although she's more into the Princess thing right now than "Cat in the Hat"......but I'm working on it. I'm going to try and teach her how to fly a kite by herself soon. Have you ever seen anyone make a mini Rev for kids.......I don't know.....maybe out of some really lightweight material and scaled down to size? I was thinking about it the other day and how much fun it could be. P
  19. Those are great Penny........I definitely need the 2nd or 3rd one right now when I'm out practicing. I went out yesterday and got VERY familiar with the "Walk of Shame"........ P
  20. Kent, That is a great idea...but at the rate of my recent buying and with the list of what I would like to have........That would cost me a lot of money. Ant, No disrespect meant with the questioning your "motives". From what I've read of your posts, sounds like you have an excellent wife that is very supportive of your hobby/addiction. Besides, with that Stallion......you've got one of the prettiest Revs out there. I'm jealous. P
  21. Great job Penny.......sounds like you had a lot of fun. Isn't it nice that we have all these options when it comes to festivals!!! Who said kite flying is a thing of the past? As long as there are people like you with the passion and the love that keep bringing people into it with your creative ways...the sky is the limit.....(pun intended). Take care, Patrick
  22. Hey Bazzer....did you hear of anyone getting pics of the "kite on cop's head"?????? P
  23. Looks great Ant. How long did it take you to set it up. What is the concept behind the sticks? I know it's been discussed here in the past so if someone wants to give me the link to the convesation, that would be OK. Or, we could just revisit it again here. Great job.... P
  24. Who made that? Nice job. P
  25. I did not hear of anyone getting it on video....but you never know. I'll try to email a couple of the BC group and see. That would be great! P
